The speed limit is 75, which is rather stupid considering the lack of cross traffic. I typically run 90 through there, sometimes a short burst of 100, but that eats up too much gas to do it for a long haul.

@CaliforniaOpenRoad Try a diesel car like VW Golf and you'll get around 30 mpg at 100 mph.

I drove a VW TDI through here numerous times, I got 40 mpg at 90 mph. I never measured mileage at 100, but you're probably right at 30, if not better. My TDI engine became toast after some mechanic screwed it up. The video was recorded in a Honda Civic.
