  • "and the woman I love you know she kinda...she kinda big and fat...what I like about that woman man you know its kinda...good like that" So funny I fell out of my chair! BG is the best

  • I love buddy guy, because he doesn't make guitar playing seem like some inaccessible mystery. Although he's a virtuoso he usually refrains from a lot of the self-fulfilling, masturbatory, guitar tricks a lot of players use to dazzle others. Because of that he makes me feel that this guitar and music thing is possible.

I'm sure he provides the same inspiration for many others.

  • It's awesome to see him with an acoustic...very natural.

  • I know these types of comments are generic but who in the hell can dislike this video? buddy you're my hero and made a blue weekend crack a smile :0

  • I loves blues men lol. Like dayum. They always have great personalities, because they do real music that's mellow. It's always a good time or story telling, and even a bad memory or a sadness in life can be turned into this wonderful, very relate-able music. Thank God & Bluesmen for Blues <3

  • I met Buddy at his bar in Chicago, Legends, and he's as genuine and kind as he appears in interviews. He still likes to party too, we had a beer and a shot before he took the stage. The local talent he finds to play there on wknds was tremendous, names I had never heard who just blew me away.

  • I saw him in chattanooga TN and he was great he spent 45 minutes in the crowd

    it was awesome

  • Lol...I was at that concert in Rio when he fell. He continued playing full of energy as if nothing had happened....It was amazing!!

Buddy Guy and The Blues define each other.

  • Yeah man, i'd love to be able to meet him and just speak about blues and hear his stories and stuff :D he seems like such a genuine nice guy

  • Well, we never mentioned we did. We had a wonderful opportunity which we shared with you. You don't seem to be able to appreciate what the arts have to offer and that is fine.

  • I understand that Buddy Guy doesn't need to go into the lady's restroom to see a naked Women.

It's for Him like a pilot looking for the Sun at noon, or a person looking for darkness in the night.

In my mind any true Blues player plays a 12 string Guitar.........LOVEN IT BUDDY GUY !!!

  • Yeah i missed out too!

  • buddy guy or b.b. king..........so hard

    both!

  • It is hard but I would have to say Buddy Guy.

  • Buddy guy is one of the most influential blues guitarists that ever lived. I saw him in St. Louis two years ago and it is one of the true highlights of my life. Buddy has always been a humble person who always wanted to make whoever he was supporting sound the best they can. Check out his contributions to Muddy Waters' songs and his work with Junior Wells.

He was a huge influence on Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Carlos Santana . A true living legend.

  • I'm ok in what you say of one of the best real legend of the Blues steal alive!

  • buddy and juniors album is very good. one of my favs

  • fuck off you sacreligious mother fucker . you don't call buddy guy gay. he could wear an easter bunny suit if he wants to.

  • LOL, YEAH.

  • He's wearing that same shirt on the cover of 'Bring Em In'.

He's always dressed pretty flamboyantly.... definitely his style.

  • yeah. buddy guy pwns.

  • is that a freedie king tune hes playin big legged woman?

awesome player. i love big girls as well lol

big butts rule. makes you play better

  • the actual song 'big legged woman' is one of those songs that kinda got passed around and transformed from player to player. the earliest version i've heard is Mississippi John Hurt.

  • That man is COOL AS A FRIDGE!

  • Great way to describe him. He is as cool as they get.

  • Buddy guy is great i like him like Clapton, he got good Blues, his style is very sincere. Generally he is underated in comparison I'd say. I'm going to see him live 30th in Atlanta, its one of the best things to look forward to this year :)

  • Buddy Guy,the unknown king.

  • I agree, and anyone who has seen him live would agree also. a master entertainer and one of the best guitar players to swing an axe.

  • Is that a soft shoulder Gibson? That thing is like BOOM

  • Gibson J45! Real nice sound, great guitar!

  • @seventhhourblues what tuning is he in?

  • @seventhhourblues sir, have you uploaded the full vid of the same anywhere ? anyway i can get it.. cheers to the blues from India

  • Mr. Guy is the greatest live performer I have ever seen in person or on T.V. B.B., Clapton, and all the others play their stock licks, while Mr. Guy when he plays a solo it is a song in itself. He is the greatest one alive and better than most of the dead ones. I've been to 6 different states to seem him.

  • Yeah man, it's a great sounding guitar, but i think a lot of that might be in those fingers too! Even his electric playinmg has a sort of BOOM sound too it. Buddy Guy is the man!

  • funny, this guy is more than amazing, he blows everyone away, singing, playin, performance, everything, Buddy is godlike!

  • ive seen him play at austin city limits and in houston. he is so badass and i got to pluck one of his strings while he was walking around arena in the middle of the show

  • He is like wine. He just gets better with age! I've seen him live 5 times. He once played on my back right after I came our of the bathroom. There he was. I almost busted a nut! He is my Idol. A true living legend! Greatest BLUESMAN alive period! No contest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We were back to back! My greatest moment after a piss!

  • see heres what i love about blues music. all blues players have influences on others B.B. King had an influence on Buddy Guy, Buddy Guy on Clapton and Clapton on the not so great but still good talent John Mayer. its a family. all blues players are great because they know how to play what they feel not just through words but music itself. Buddy Guy Greatest musician on earth

  • Yeah, not so great, but would be with a litte more conviction and backbnone in his playing. For me though, I think Buddy Guy willalways be one of the best, great guitarist, showman, singer, and when you listen to some of his interviews on youtube very humble too.

  • I agree with BadNewzBlues. I've kept up with this guy over the years, and actually saw him live in 2006, he came out in the audience wailing on his white polka dot strat and was no more than 4 feet from me! He gets better with age and I absolutely idolize his guitar playing. I hope to God he at least has someone to carry the torch because they broke the mold with Buddy and when he's gone, damn he's gone!

  • I love this interview :)) Buddy is so much himself. Cool as hell.

  • I'd shit my pants to play with him, even in this setting.

  • ha, hes so full of shitt, he knew exactly what he was doing. Last of a dying breed. Great guy great blues player.

  • God Bless Buddy Guy

  • You gotta love a big woman. Mmm Mmm.

  • That's my Buddy! I love you!

  • Jaysus what he wearin???

  • HAHAHAHA...lol like the way u say that

  • It's called New old clothes. He is cool as hell...

  • awsume as can be.

  • killer!!! just like "folk singer"

  • What a show he puts on. They dont make this generation any more..

  • i went to his concert this april and was totally blown away. Don't know about the ladies room part but he did go up to the balcony with his guitar.

  • This was made when?

  • he has little fingers..

    good luck

    peace

  • wow i didnt know who he was till 3 mins ago. now I think he is a bloody legend! rock on buddy boy

  • I've seen BB King, Clapton, Robert Cray, and mny other blues greats. Buddy puts on thebet concert PERIOD!

  • hes not drunk and blues doesnt come from alcoholics

  • that's crazy!! "big legged woman"

  • That's how Buddy typically talks...it's called an accent.

  • haha i dont know if buddys just gettin old or if hes real drunk but he sure slurs his words. more power to him though thats where the blues comes from.

  • He's 70.

  • slavery brought the blues not drink

  • i wish i had that voice....

  • Buddy's awesome!!!

  • I'm from Memphis. Now Buddy loves Memphis, and Memphis loves Buddy. And I know he has a good time there, but Buddy Guy has a good time all over the world. Loves to play with and for a crowd!!Aint but ONE BUDDY GUY!!!FLH.

  • i know stevie ray vaughan loved and looked up to mr guy. alot, i know why.. he is one of a kind

  • hahah is that a real song he was playing? I hear parts of "same old thing" by muddy "make a bulldog wanna hug a hound" "big legged woman"...maybe its just improvised I dunno?

  • Nope.Actually that is how the song goes: 'Big legg women.Keep your dress tails down, you got stuff that'll make a bull dog,hug a hound..Ahhh,big legg women.Keep your dress tails down..Ahhh Ahhh, you got stuff that make a , bull dog hug a hound.'

    The song gets better too..

  • Haha, Buddy's earned the right to play guitar the lazy way...

  • He's the man.

  • Buddy's Influence on the Stones, The Doors, Clapton, Hendrix, etc... continues to go unknown. For some this is hard to believe, but look it up on Buddy Guy Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia--read it all.
