@ellbrek Both decent amps - I prefer the Lunchbox but that doesn't necessarily mean you will! Sorry I can't be of more help, but there really isn't a definite answer! Some people will prefer one and others will prefer the sound of the other. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with either though tbh!
best video for this amp ive seen, i was wondering what it could do with some metal distortion, does it still sound good with just the amp, and cranked?
@powdereddonut Thank you. It sounds great cranked. But if you want a heavy distortion i recommend adding a stomp box of some kind for sure. Clean tones sound out of this world. Crazy that it comes out of such a small unit.
@absolutemusicuk well i ask because i got a few boss pedals, i have a metal style and im getting tired of lugging around my giant 60 watt. so anything good for a louder but still huge sound would just rule for me.
Dude thanks soooo much! This made me want this amp so much. Seems perfect for me haha. good for loud playing, jazz and even metal distortion! What more could I ask for?
I figured that if an amp wasn't mean to have that much distortion within it's own package that if would damage the components or the speaker. Because i've been wondering how to get more crunch out of my lunchie.
the added SFX with the mic and cables-- Great touch. made me smile. also i'm quite impressed with the Lunchbox. definitely caught my attention when i saw this in the various catalogs. Solid demo
Too much bass on the metal distortion! Sounds like you're running a woofer on that thing...

Okay. Enough of this boring video crap.

I think the guitar might need a setup.... can't really tell anything about the amp

why is it you had gain when you were using a clean setting?
topdog2328 5 months ago
@topdog2328 Gain is the amount of amplification in the preamp section of an amp.

all I can say is ... if you use one of these you better have a real good guitar.

This amp is fine for play hard rock like Slash and working for more middle?
dragonyc1 8 months ago
@dragonyc1 Depending on which effects pedal you use in conjunction with the ZT - Yes its fine.

So the distortion pedal doesn't damage the amp?
I figured that if an amp wasn't mean to have that much distortion within it's own package that if would damage the components or the speaker. Because i've been wondering how to get more crunch out of my lunchie.
SHAenima 1 year ago
@SHAenima Not at all. The amp handles the distortion really well. You can add any guitar effects pedals to the chain without worry.

wow it sounded good with that distortion, but how does it sound when you're in the room with it and not mic'd?

can u do the test with a halfstack?

For only having a 6-1/2 inch speaker, sounds very good clean and distorted.
