  • your killing your battery by setting it on the ground like that

  • i bet that guy with the cell took a better video lol

  • Unlike mine, this engine does not run as "Hot" using Hydrogen. Interesting...

  • I just don't like the battery placement :0

  • Good, I like that you share this video, I wish success always This Is A Turbo Jet Engine I Made From scratch at George T Baker Aviation, It Runs reliably on Hydrogen, and that's me

  • Nice Video That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You This was One last run the last day of school, Having fun with what took so much hard work to make happen. Thanks For Watching!

  • I Really Like The Video From Your This Is A Turbo Jet Engine I Made From scratch at George T Baker Aviation, It Runs reliably on Hydrogen, and that's me Guy with white shirt

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing This was One last run the last day of school, Having fun with what took so much hard work to make happen. Thanks For Watching!

  • Just ignore them-

you can't make sense out of nonsense.

    What are you doing now?

I'm working on a Turbine car,

    should be ready by Summer,

    God helping.

  • @jetpoweredgriffin bro that sounds pretty sick i wish i wouldve had the funds to do something like that, right now im just working as an aircraft technician and school both fulltime, building a car on the side

  • @carlosr428

    Well,

money is convenient but does not make things happen,

    alone by itself.

The right people are more important.

The wrong people and you'll end up broke again,

nothing accomplished and probably in some kind of court or hospital!

  • put your dick in there

  • @thenwonow Energy cant be created nor destroyed.. so.. if you cant destroy energy.. its not going to cost 4 times more energy to make hydrogen. if anything.. it would only show that the methods of production can be improved.

  • aha...

  • Looks very efficient and well built. Great job!

  • Interesting. Does this engine use/require any kind of cooling system?

  • A te kezedbe nem kamera való, hanem lapát!

  • Ei people i have a question to made , i have a beautifull f-117 and i want to buy or made a micro turbine but i need to use a gas very powerfull to put the jet to fly at last for 30 min .So my question is : can i use HYDROGEN ? is the hydrogen the most powerfull fuel?

  • what was the thrust rating for this thing, and were you able to get a tsfc for it?

  • your camera man sucks crap

  • Nice Engine. I built one back in 1983. I used an AirResearch T04B turbocharger. My combustor was a catalytic type. I had platinum and palladium deposits on a high temp monolith secured inside the combustor housing. Once the compressor discharge temperature was above approx 78 degrees F., the hydrogen fuel would self-ignite. No need for an ignitor. The other nice feature was that I always had near stoichiometric conditions due to work of the catalyst.

  • Ya think with all that ,"know-how" you could find someone who know's how to hold a camera!

  • Does NASA sticker make you feel important? Shuda stuck something like H2O / inBlue and Green

  • @russian0777 nah it just looked nice so i put it on and its aerospace related doesnt really serve a purpose they didnt really help me out or give me pointers i did it all on my own but hey its just a sticker lol

  • It didn't supposed to light up?

  • What do you use for the lubrication of the bearings? Standard car engine oil or jet engine oil like BPTO2197,Exxon 2380 or mobil jet 2?

  • @jurrien75 I was using shell 2380 turbine oil.. its like a 5w synthetic

  • I wouldn't want to attend an aviation school that makes crappy car turbo jets. What are they trying to do? Invent the jet engine again? Rediculous waste of resources. You would get a better thrust to weight ratio from a lawn mower engine with a radiator fan bolted to it! Hydrogens a waste to if that's the point here. It takes 4 times more energy to produce then you get back when it's burned. Stop wasting resources like this, that would be the best innovation.

  • @TheNWONOW papo stop hating the whole point is trying to find new ways of powering aircrafts WITHOUT polluting , now u go and get your lawnmower and put the radiator fan and a big funnel and put the other side of the funnel up ure ass and tell us how much thrust itll generate lmao the best thing you knew how to do at age 17 was beat off cause you didnt havea girlfreind so stfu and get off youtube and actually go do something with your life u idiot

  • Now it make sense with the NASA sticker.

  • put it now on a supra

  • из разряда изобретений британских учёных ну или цыганских физиков ядерщиков. видео для лохов !!!!

  • "billy billy"

  • Car turbos where designed For just that.. Not as a jet engine

  • Sweet engine and you're pretty sexy yourself.

  • yo that's pretty cool looks like you guys did a great job. Its Samir from TSA BTW

  • And thissssssssss is what i was talking about!! !Hydrogen fed jet engines!!! ;)

Very nice! I'm looking forward to make one of those ;)

    Nice work

  • This is the future! I wish commercial airlines will one day (hopefully sooner than later) use such engines!

That would be the only way I can think of to travel "ecologically".

The only problem is how you produce the hydrogen, which is really hard and expensive

  • Was Michael J Fox holding the camera?

  • Throw a quarter in it!!!

    J/K nice build.

  • Does it produce any torque?

  • So THATS where my turbo from my car went! :D

  • Hi, how much hydrogen does this use? say l/min? Thanks

Ps. would there be many differences in design between it running on hydrogen rather than jet fuel?

  • So its pretty much a turbo fabbed into a jet engine.......

  • Nicely done, do not let bad comments beat You, most of us viewing your clip had not build anything. Keep ti going, this is just a proof of concept.

    Best regards

  • thats cool ( :

  • omfg buy a tripod

  • what mohawk get a real one you fohawk

  • how much thrust do you get out of that?

  • Wtf lear how to hold a camera

  • @Chubby0883

    Learn how to spell.

  • You think you could spring $25 to pay a professional camera guy that doesnt annoy the hell out of viewers with the excessive camera shake and poor zoom techniques.... how annoying!

  • @3TruthSeeker33 yea bro wire it to me and ill be sure to do that, along with some money for Turbine oil, and a tank of hydrogen =)

  • @carlosr428 or just disable the zoom

  • @3TruthSeeker33 Yeah I thought Michael J. Fox was holding the camera.

  • @3TruthSeeker33

or load it up in afterfx, motion track it, then export it again.. lol

  • poor turbocharger :(

  • so its a leaf blower?

  • that thing is running 100% hydrogen?

  • @FurionLord yup!

  • ebay turbokit

  • @emsotakon yep

  • You shouldnt have the CHRA clocked over at that extreme angle. It should be within 20 degrees of vertical to ensure that oil is draining out properly, otherwise you are likely to back it up and it will push oil out through the seals.

  • @FTBoogie Your completely right, the only time i ever had that happen was out the ass end following a shut down, it would smoke i guess since the shaft would cool down faster than the actual housing

  • what is your exhaust temp on that? great work keep it up,

you should try and put a bigger bell mouth on the inlet. Doing so on a car application you can make huge gains by the smoother airflow created.

  • what is your exhaust temp on that? great work keep it up.

  • @fsfer max power is 1600F

  • Afinal de contas , para que serve isso msm?

  • sweet "planking" at 1:14

  • I see what eBay turbos are good for lol

  • el weon del camarografo parece que nunca habia pescado una camara en su vida.....el weon penca pa filmar

  • you very bad camaraman!!

  • That's very cool baby, very cool ... I want one!

  • what is the approximate work out put of this jet? Is it comparable to a 100 HP engine, greater, lesser? What was the fuel burn rate?

  • you got that turbo out of scratch

  • @flaps20check air goes thru those holes to support combustions and align the flame so it doesnt touch the liner and melt it, and the bypasss air puts out the flame so its not too long and reaches the turbine wheel and its used to cool down the wheel aswell

  • Did anyone else get a video of this? I got seasick attempting to watch it. Too bad, it must have been fun to see. Not sure if it was cameraman playing with the zoom so much or no tripod, running all over the place. What a shame.

  • Did you guys ever measure any thrust from this? I would love to talk to you guys about this project. I am actually working on one using that exact turbo but we are using propane instead of hydrogen. We just got the engine running this week but still have a lot of work to do on the instrumentation. Send me a message and we can exchange information!

  • now put that on the back of a skateboard and see how fast you can go...probably wont move but thats ok XD

  • what kind of thrust do you get, anything reasonable?

  • Nice video. I was wondering did u try making the hydrogen from water by either electrolisis or by adding Aluminium. And with the high pressures with in the combustion chamber does that make any effect on the hydrogen.

  • In NW Australia, we have huge tides,

huge evaporation and huge dry rivers and lakes.

Tides are up to 12m. Evaporation is up to 4m per year .

Huge 12m tidal river erosion can revive old dry once mighty rivers, creeks and lakes,

desalinate the country and change deserts to rain forests to provide more rain across Australia.

we need more energy, food, land, water and cooler climate,

Plenty energy and HYDROGEN TO RUN jet engine environment friendly.

    see: mitic climate engineering

  • my plan is to run it on supper heated steam and make hydrogen in the combustion chamber, thus running it on water

  • @crafter2u you can't produce hydrogen from super heated steam, it'll just escape, expand and cool down again, water and steam are completely fire-retardant, and it won't break it's bonds easily, the only way known now to produce hydrogen from water is to put it through hydrolysis, thus breaking the bonds and producing oxygen and hydrogen in the form of HHO gas.

  • @flamedrag18 what about using superheated steam injection and HHO injection then ignite with a plasma spark

  • @crafter2u i dont know excatly how hot you have to take the water molecule before you can split it into hydrogen and oxygen, i dont think its even possible but?? idk bro try it! =D

  • Comment removed

  • @crafter2u That's impossible, since the ammount of energy required to split H2O is more than you can get by burning H2 and O2. Unless if you split the H and O electrochemically, then you'd have the worlds least efficient electric motor.

  • Weak e--bay turbo!

  • Weak e-bay turbo!

  • @stunt509 u idiot!

  • @ak7wyf 8===D--  in your face

  • Cameraman might like a tripod for his birthday.

  • Nice build.

  • at about 2:09 u can hear someone scream, and you notice how loud this thing really is, I goota put up a vid with the afterburner lit! =)

  • @carlosr428 doing any fuel cell research as far as onboard production of hydrogen?

  • @nemotagger1 Yup but I havent had spare time like I use to =/

  • @carlosr428 Please get the spare time. The technology you come up with could really change this world. Oh, and please don't sell this idea to any oil companies ;)

  • @danjozef agreed . keep going wiht it. even if you practice or try thigns in teh back yard.

  • nice leaf blower!

  • 1:14 transformer fan

  • @markdem lolololol

  • Look at that fine piece of ass;)

  • did you make the parts or did you buy them? If so, where did you buy them from. Thanks

  • i wouldnt have thought hydrogen would be a particually efficent fuel for a jet because they work on the expansion of air due to heat and hydrogen dosnt combust particually hot therefore an oil based fuel like a-1 would be more efficient?

  • hey what turbocharger are you using and what are the compressor inlet and outlet diameters?

  • You guys quit polluting our air! Just kidding.

  • how many liters of hydrogen do you spent in one minute?

  • @lastkiss84 ALOT! lol i dont remember man but the we burn up a bottle in like 4 runs

  • @carlosr428 Any ideas roughly how much input pressure was required? And any special changes needed to be made for the use of hydrogen??

  • What is the displacement of the combustion chamber? And what size engine was the turbocharger built for?

  • @magnum9987 its a universal turbo a T70 (A/R .70) with a T4 turbine housing

  • Carbon free!!

  • a fine piece of engineering indeed :D

  • Good project looks like it runs pretty sweet on hydrogen but i bet it empties the tank pretty quick . One suggestion is to turn the center section so the oil drain is straight up and down so as there is no residual oil in the housing as this could cake up after shutdown and cause problems with oil consumption later .

  • What was your thrust output in pounds?

  • is this running on gas or liquid hydrogen?

  • 1st and foremost, well done! i myself am a final year BEng ME student, i want to base by project on using liquefied gas like hydrogen or compressed natural gas to run my turbine engine to generate electricity using the turbine engine and harnessing the residual heat from the exhaust to power a secondary steam powered electricity generator. Hydrogen would be the best but do u have any tips on safe designs whats the best method of ignition if using hydrogen as the turbine engine fuel? Thank you

  • Sounds cool man.. I used an ignition system off a late 80's honda accord and cooling fan motor from a corolla to simulate the camshaft rotation.. Good luck with your project!

  • great job on your project! its not everyday you see turbojets running on hydrogen. I also go to aviation school in clearwater and im planning on building my own gas turbine. if you could give me some tips on what materials i should get and what kind of oil pump, fuel pump you used and what not. i hope to hear from you thanks

  • I would stick to Stainless steel, I made the entire combustion chamber from stainless as well as the exhaust.. This will reduce the corrosion.. Stainless steel does rust but at very high temperatures and ive noticed it slightly in my exhaust.. oil pump go to Northern tools they have one that costs $219 very reliable

  • Good job! =)

  • Lousy Camera person!! Nice machine though!

  • love the nasa sticker lol

Great to see this, I've been working on something similar myself and its nice to see that hydrogen turbines can be done

  • Fly fly!!! not flying kkk

  • what did you use for your oiling system, boost tubing, and your exhaust?

  • not to be prejudiced but are you cuben .don't worry i am.

  • Full Blooded Cuban lol

  • strap that to a boat and you will fly lol you should do that by the way id like to do some work with you i live in miami i am trying to invent a spcial thruster could you help... pm asap thanks

  • what's the EGT when running hydrogen. I'm thinking it's so quite due to a lower EGT.

  • lol No actually It was ran upto 1600 Deg F (EGT)

  • oh fuckyeah, have all of these at outside skateparks and after the rain the skatepark will be dry notime

  • Where do you get the parts from? The Combustion Chamber, Turbocharger?

  • Turbo is an Ebay T70.. The Combustion Chamber and The Rest I Made By Hand out of Stainless Steel Sheet metal

  • sounds so quiet

  • Redesign a smaller one into a wheel, it will be turn crazily.

  • Very nice Carlos! 5-stars ! What are you using for your oil pump ?

  • 12v DC Gear pump

  • May i ask where you got it ?

  • I think Northen Tools Has it

  • could you get a model turbine to run from hydrogen?

How does it compare to running liquid fuel?
