@OverCounter This was played the day after SBO 2k7, the one Ogawa pretty much won singlehandedly. KZO is the first and still the only Order Sol to be able to beat Ogawa in such a convincing manner. So no, Ogawa wasn't asleep, he just got his ass handed to him.
@TrainingMacro I'd hate to admit it but I think Kaqn has run Ogawa down a few times as well. When I saw "1:35" for the time on this video, I didn't think it'd be KZO coming through with Order Sol and tearing Ogawa a new one. Imagine my surprise when my Eddie idol got devastated by an Order Sol I've never heard of! (Then again I don't watch alot of Order Sol haha)
@OverCounter KZO at that point was the best performing Order Sol at SBO(kaqn only lost matches). Only in 2008 or 2009 did 0 show better performance with a OCV(and then getting himself shut out of the tournament). Now however in 2010 Inoue has the best trackrecord managing to get to the finals with the character. Current ranking however would probably place KZO above Inoue and slightly below 0, assuming that 0 is still as strong as he used to be.
of course he does lol he's qualifying for the SBO'08 right now.
and as for the match between KZO and him. if they had another rematch KZO will definitely lose since KZO threw all his secret moves. He definitely knew that its impossible to beat Ogawa with just his normal OS so he switched to an unusual playstyle to psych ogawa :D
as long as kzo is that aggressive and tosses out crazy mixups off of AC FRC's ogawa wont necessarily beat him, eddie outputs crazy damage but isn't good at taking it, his guts rating is awful
lol it's not like that. the event was hold in either East or West of japan as it's West&East best players of each character competition, so the team that ogawa was in was probably not in its own district, therefore no support :(
KZO uses storm viper really well, even though the move does have bad recovery time it has superior priority especially used in air against someone air blocking
Ogawa got thrashed on like he was a nobody that was pretty fucking bad. I think KZO is nasty with his own style but Kaqn is precise and always dead on. I have seen some other KZO fights and overall Kaqn got him beat when it comes to HOS.
They're very different fighters. Kaqn is precise. He knows all of Order Sol's moves inside out. Their range, damage, and how combo-able they are. KZO has his fair share of knowledge, but he uses tricks no one would expect. That roman-cancel-from-charge-burst-to-grapple trick is nuts. The problem is that it won't work for long. He may surprise some people in his first games, but once people learn his tactics he may be in trouble.
KZO just gave me a lesson in OS, that was really good stuff. I got faked out by some of the things he did even though I'm just watching and not playing.
Just remember that a lot of KZO's moves shown here are silly tricks. The Storm Viper > Charge Burst FRC Feint works because the enemy doesn't expect it; they see Storm Viper whiffed as a gigantic 'PLEASE HIT ME'. If KZO, or anyone else for that matter, uses it too much, it'll run stale.
That said, if he keeps it to only use once, maximum twice every match, it'll be a really nice ace.
Those "silly" tricks were made for people just like Ogawa who has seen every trick in the book. Do you really think that KZO did those tactics because it was good for his health? He did them because Ogawa has seen every mix-up out there thrown at him of course he wouldn't fall for some normal empty jump-into a sweep. Ogawa needs to be hit with over the head double pump of the backboard type of shit. If you watch the other fights, he has had he doesn't do shit like that too often.
Yeah, I saw a few other KZO fights, my comment was pretty old. He uses the Storm Viper feint exactly as he should: a last-ditch effort, usually to do that tiny bit more damage if the enemy is on low health and it's a close match. All's I was saying was he needs to be careful and use it as a wild card, which is, so far, what he does, which is great. Considering Kaqn now spams pressure with Millia, I'd definitely say KZO's the new Kaqn.
Agree about A3Religion's point. It's not so much as because Eddie's top tier or whatnot, it's how Ogawa uses him. I've seen other top Eddies play and Ogawa's style is very different, much more different than whoever made the tier rankings in this game probably expected an Eddie should play.
Only his rushdowns are generally the same, but everything else is custom tailored to beating whoever he is currently fighting.

Damn! KZO has an incredibly interesting style. Storm Viper used as a feint? There's a new one. I think even Kaqn has some tricks to learn from this guy, even if he's got a while to go to proove himself at that level. I'm just annoyed he uses the same colour palette as I do. <_< First Kaqn steals my palette, now this guy. Back to dark purple and cyan it is.
1: Pics or it didn't happen. 2: They ARE major tournaments, I just use actual reflexes and mind-games to win rather than 'tourney combos', though I'm bothering to work on them too because I'm sick of losing to people who aren't as good as me. Just haven't gotten them all down 100%. Either way, they're not low-level tourneys, I just don't often use what you'd call tourney combos. Opponents often do though.
I'm not able to paste links to anything. If you're just using actual reflexes and mindgames, you're not using them well enough if you're not beating your opponent. As for combos, they generally make your life easier, even at lvl1 OS can reach 150-200 depending on what he gets.
I know combos make it easier. Search 'Shinkada CWs06 Batasan'. Probably the only match here I can stand watching...
Between this being my second time playing AC, the first time I'd faced an actual capable opponent, and not knowing any good combos, I'd say my reflexes and mindgames carried me pretty far. And yes, I know there are a lot of bad mistakes, and Round 5 was an absolute trainwreck on my part.
lol notice how everyone cheers when Ogawa is getting his ass kicked, i guess they are sick of Ogawa winning all the time and want the underdogs to win
KZO Off In This Hoe Watch Me Crank It Watch Me Roll Watch Me Crank Dat KZO Then Storm Vipa Dat Hoe Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat KZO) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat KZO) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat KZO) Now Watch Me Do (Crank Dat KZO) ........ I appologize
