Okay, To get the name thing straight; the original name for the autobot was Mirage, but in the 3rd movie, Sideswipe called him Dino. That's where the confusion is coming from. Either/or is right.

@tfl1997 They originally wanted to call him Mirage but Ferrari came to them and asked them to name him Dino after one of the VIPs at Ferrari. Someone (possibly family or an executive) had a nickname of Dino at Ferrari.

he is not called mirage.Nelson dropped a minor bomb over at the Shoot for the Edit forums when he posted that the red Ferrari 458 Italia is no longer going to be called "Mirage" in the movie. He wrote, "All I will say is that he speaks with an Italian accent and is named after a famous Italian.”

Now is this misdirection on their part ? Michael Bay playing with us nerds again ? or the strangest change since they renamed Marathon as Snickers ?
