Those sticks are too big for that kite. Bamboo skewers would work much better. Also Korean fighters are not flown with a tail, being fighter kites they are naturally a little unstable.
@ToMAHHsTheRocker It is supposed to be a fighter kite, but if it is built with spars that are too heavy they will not flex enough and you will not be able to control it. A fighter kite needs to be able to change from a relatively flat shape to a shape with a substantial dihedral (bending away from the wind) when you create tension on the line. This allows it to spin or rock when it is flatter and move in a straight line when the line tension makes the spars bend.
