The reason why you don't shave a husky is because they need their coats for the winter and the summer. all dogs get hot but they know how to cool themselves by digging or laying dogs are not stupid people are. People are very ignorant and very very stupid. I do not believe the coat comes back the same not for one second.But like I said people are stupid!!!!!!!to do such a thing.

Actually the top coat is what cools down the husky in the summer, dogs don't cool down the same way as us. With out the top coat the dog is at a high risk of heat stroke and huskies to have the right pigmentation to protect them from the sun. Petsmart employees are never as smart as they make themselves out to be, you should always go into a pet store with research under your belt. I don't mean this to sound harsh, I don't think you're an idiot for shaving your husky.

He enjoys it, and actually acts no different than your dog in your video. He is very healthy and has never had any problems while shaved with mites, ticks, or any other bugs.
BTW Husky's coat returns to its normal state within a couple of months.

I wouldn't shave a husky, but their nothing wrong with shaving you gonna tell someone with a poodle or a schnauzer they can't shave them! Some dogs hair grows so long it touches the ground, and if you don't clip them they'll collect dirt and all sorts of crap in their hair and look bad and smell bad. SOme dogs look a hell better when they are clipped althought spitz breed like huskies look better with their coats.

oh shut up...it doesnt hurt the dog! I live in texas and i know about the breed and how the coat helps with the heat...but not extreme heat...just heat where the breed is from...it is necessary here on 105 degree days! and if done right the hair always grows back fine...my husky kirra says hello
