I have him to thank for most of my "flat out" attack plans. lol man his car sure had some pardon me saying "wicked ass" postures in his last years. Like man look at that car leverage around that turn. Get something huge engine , maybe nos and just stay in it, learn to steer it out. Man its the best thing in life i tell ya... What an awesome name Mika Hakkinen, what does a guy do when he realizes he'll not drive f1 again. Stare at the floor, walls, and ceiling? sob...
A hero who defined my own youth...which ended with him retiring.
But the memories....wonderful...Monaco 98...and Nurburgring...France in the wet...Austria...Silverstone...Japan (of course)...qualification after qualification...joy oh joy...when the man went past that line ahead of Schumi-joy oh joy...
And why was he my hero?
BECAUSE HE HAD THE BEST SENSE OF HUMOUR ON THE GRID...mystery of mysteries that he was labelled "boring"...
