I think Audi's are an acquired taste. They speak for themselves. You either see an automobile masterpiece, or "a poor man's lambo". If you watch most if not all newer Audi commercials, there is no speaking. That s because its not necessary. Now the Ford GT40 is a poor man's Ferrari. And I know the old GT40's beat Ferrari, but i would rather have an Italian masterpiece not just a fast car.

Acquired taste maybe...most people that want the power and performance want to show it off and be flashy. Personally, I'd rather have an S8 and give off an 'executive' or 'luxury' vibe, and still be able to put 90% of cars in there place when the need arises, but do it in a subtle style that still yells 'I know what I'm doing'.

I loved everything about that car. We traded to get a 2009 A5 s-line. I love the A5 but it's deffinately no A8 haha. I would love the S8 for all your reasons.

ive owned a hot hatch that had its efi system removed to make way for a twin barrel two carb setup by the last owner, and you better believe it made more power.

efi does lead to bigger power gains, but this 100 horses you talk about is nonsense. the efi powerhouses you speak of are 8,000+ revving engines with a lot of mechanical tuning besides just an EFI setup.

most big american engines come out the factory with a lazier tune, hence the lower power.

Audi own Lamborghini, meaning the Murcielago and Gallardo share some of the technology such as the Sequencial gearboxes. The R8 is based somewhat upon the gallardo, so if lambos are shitty, then this is worse.
