Hi your video is great, I recently get into graphics and video games, I bought a great serial LCD with touch controller called SMARTGPU from vizic technologies, and it's just 3 wire interface, microSD-4GB, could be used as shield or on a standard breadboard, very powerfull graphics, You can create advanced applications very very easy, I recommend it to you! check my video response! or tab "SMARTGPU arduino ipod like"
I used the LGDP4531 (It's similair with ILI920) (I found it on Ebay)
yes, the controler does the hardware scrolling, it's very fast because I don't refresh the screen (I change only one line)
I have not added a "player" on my game. I think on this LCD, a background buffer is missing.
I stopped the project, but i give you my driver source code.

What LCD controller do you use?
The chip does the scrolling, right ? So you don't clear the display for each frame, but
what happens when you add some animation (for example, the player moving on the screen),
can you still get a good framerate?

@MrArkham666 Explain why you think it's fake. Something like this isn't to hard to program given you have the know how to do so.
