  • Do not forget your brothers from 1939!

  • Beautiful x

  • Not THAT'S how you harmonize...

  • I think people who are ignorant shouldnt procreate as simple as that, this is very uplifting and harmonious music like this can only be originated from its true form from MOTHER AFRICA though not full blooded african I love my heritage and before ANYONE feel the need to assert themsleves in a negative manner concerning this musical genius need not post another response on youtube.

  • Some folks actually hit dislike? Are they having mental problems?

  • the intro from coming to america is the lion leeps tonight ?

  • Breathtaken! I watched them several years ago in Connecticut. Are they still around performing. I would love to watch them again. I love Hello Baby

  • My GOD this is beautiful. OOOOOH. I cannot stop playing this and listening. This is AMAZING.

  • This is a beautiful song.

  • ich liebe afrikanische musik. ist noch ursprünglich. nicht so wie der heutige dreck:-)

  • @XxSmokeHerbxX Sorry to say it but they didn't mess up the song. They just took it back to its original African Zulu origins. The original song is called Mbube and it was remixed and redone by the Token's as Lion sleeps tonite. So know your history before you make fu**ed up comments about this song.

  • @nizocapri

What? You mean we shouldn't consider the Western pop version the standard? You mean we have to consider the original [gasp] AFRICAN version the standard? Shocking. ;-)

  • @XxSmokeHerbxX you're an idiot.

    "i would rate p stars"

    what is "p stars"?

  • @XxSmokeHerbxX DOUCHE. BAG.

  • @XxSmokeHerbxX Nothing can beat the original African version. It was never wimoweh, it was uyimbube "you are a Lion", a voice of empowerment in the face of oppression from racist shits like you.

  • THIS IS MUSIC AT ITS BEST i wish they could live forever

  • THIS IS MUSIC AT ITS BEST

  • this is just proff that if we can all come together it can be so beautiful...i dont see why we always choose to fight and make life harder for ourselves.

  • Pure Genius ! a real thing of Beauty!

  • Coming to America with Eddie Murphy! love this song.

  • It is a wonderful day to begin executing 100% of the sorry as shit Marxist ANC monkeys!

  • @oneromantic unfortunately, they'll just be replaced by more of the same. SA needs new inspired leadership...

  • Wonderful. I grew up in the bush in Tanzania, & this song was always around, being sung by watu & Wazungu alike. Makes you long for Africa. Great rendition. I love Ladysmith Black Mambazo, & have seen them in concert here in Cornwall, UK.

  • Is this in Xosa or Zulu

  • @yarekhunt zulu

    Adorei!!!

  • The voices are unbelievable. I am so proud of them. Love it. makes the heart melt

  • SUBLIMISSIME !!!

  • bumbaclot jah music

  • How did beautiful African music like this go to hip hop and rap?

  • @xIegionx because hiphop and rap is not african, it's lowlife thug american and an insult to such beautiful african music and musicians like LMB. Besides, hiphop and rap isn't music anyway, more like noise that sometimes rhymes.

  • @SNGspot May I direct your attention to Sweatshop Union and Swollen Members?

  • @Phantomsbreath what about them?

  • @Phantomsbreath what about them? They are both canadian and fairly new entries into the genre. So they copy lowlife american thug and it has nothing to do with the beautiful music LMB creates? Ok, so not all rap is thug, but all rap falls far short of real music.

  • @SNGspot I agree, but you gotta admit, that for rap, they're not bad.

  • @SNGspot actually, if you were truly understanding in music, you would know that you cannot tell people what is real music and what is not...music hits every person in a different way. the way ladysmith makes you feel could be the same effect that maybe Jay-Z for example makes another person feel.

  • @xIegionx might have something to do with American capitalism. It's all about the dollar. I love this sound though. Another artist for my daughter to grow up being familiar with to expand her pallet for music n culture.

  • @mrslaughinghouse then how did rap and hip hop get so popular?

  • phenomenal - what a truly extraordinary sound. I agree with the other posters, I had goosebumps all the way through this, great stuff!

  • Like a glass of clean Ice water on the hottest day. Beautiful. No auto-tune, no lip synch, Just beautiful voices and lovely souls coming together as one.

  • I get goosepimbless ..

  • just so effortless

  • @TONYIRISHPROUD LIES

  • This is from Comming to america not Lion king. Slightly different.

  • icons of africa

  • This song originated in South Africa, and Disney bought rights to it for very cheap .. manipulating the African people. I like the original so much more :)

  • Real music

  • this music is like food to my soul from sweet s

  • just another peice of the daily bread peace and love five stars

  • If carlsberg

  • Just close your eyes and you're in Africa. That is truly powerful music.

  • It is on a Spike Lee presents cd compilation from the mid 1990's. I have it . But I need to locate it to give you the actual title. On that cd they do a different version that is also quite good.

  • @XPQ123 You're right ; but also listen to Bobby McFerrin if you want to hear amazing use of human voice as an instrument. The album "Circle songs" is a good example. (he's the one that did- "don't worry be happy")

  • @XPQ123 and tears... :)

  • if you look for ladysmith black mombazo Mbube Wimoweh you will find the origanal well there all great.. this one is a bit diff... my fave. it has the album cover of a tree and a man underneath

  • Such talent, such inspiration, such beauty!

  • It astounds me that something this incredible sounding could possibly be coming from people. It's so other wordly, so perfect:)

  • now this is talent

  • i would love to have sex to this song

lol... wonder how many babies have been conceived to this song lol

  • Ce groupe est phénoménal, j'ai rarement été pénétré de la sorte.. Apaisant et puissant à la fois, c'est un sacré paradoxe.

  • I could easily wake up to this knowing i wouldn't have to get up to go to work {:-) And have women bathe me thoroughly {:-) Now that's the life. lmao

  • listen to it again and again...it's the language of music...you don't have to african or a linguist :-)....

  • Right on. There is something wonderfully universal about good music. :)

  • Incredible, They sing as if driven by one soul. When i heard this version in coming to america it stuck with me since then.

  • Welcome to Africa!! Lol

  • i rarely say this, but i like this better than the original (solomon linda)... maybe b/c i can hear it clearer o_0

  • muito bom!!!!!!!!!!!

  • COMING TO AMERICA

  • I would buy this song if the proceeds went to the rightful family. Another misfortunate failing of our American court system has rendered an African family destitute.

One man created this indiginous chant, and his family still sleeps next to the land where the lions once roamed...

The trial that was held in America, gave all of the residuals to one greedy fat cat, whose monthly re-cycling bill could feed their entire village. Download This Song For Free, As Many Times As You Can.

  • Eversince I watch the movie " comming to america as a kid I fell in love with this song but I never knew who sang the music. Finaly after like decades I know who it is. If you saw that movie you will remember that this one song set the tone for the whole movie.

  • Very Moving! Thanks for posting.

  • So peaceful, feels like one's back 75,000 years ago in sub-Saharan Africa, watching our species emerge from it cradle.

  • the other verzion should be on your right. red and orange and purples.. looks like a cover of an album. wich is it.. but this one has better audio. still, there both awsome. this one is STRIAGHT from the movie.. those elephant noises shouldn't be there. from the movie. still like this one alot.

  • wooooooooooooooow!perfect!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone knows where i can get this particular soundtrack? Thanks.

  • I'm pretty sure that if you just go to Hmv they'll have it. Thinking of buying it too actually. XD

  • What is Hmv?

  • its a CD store

  • Lovet it :D
