im trying to do this, but all i have is a Cannon Video camera, but it takes still photos to , not sure how to stop the shutter, do you know if its possible for my camera, Cannon Vivixia Hf 100?

the longer exposure, the bigger number apature . . . . i use bulb and paint for about 2 minuites with an apature of about 22. (iso 100)

@klf97 i know it doesn't, but for the exposure time i use, it looks the best when it is fully dark.

@mickydee3333 that's true. You could also try to change the white balance so that they don't end up looking orangey like I noticed in some of the pictures.

you can use any lights. i used a pen light, and the light from my ipod screen.

yep, you just find a setting on your camera that lets you keep the shutter open....

my pics are done with the shutter open for 15 seconds
