  • Valerie is sexy

  • i love how if some ones "green" that means they are totally incapable of using any of their motor skills like a normal human.. OKAY HIPPIES ! just move the logs by hand and split by hand use the splitter for the big pieces... you gotta actually go green to be a hippie ...

  • they still rock the 70's

  • holy fuck that glenn guy sure had a rough time with that block lol keep at'er bud then you will be like us pros and just fuckin grab that block with eaz

  • Bust 'em!

  • You should have Peachy work the lever for u man, it helps a lot. Do not waste time making a chair, u gotta move faster than that !!!!!

  • Twin Oaks !… Does the commune still exist ???…

    I' amazed …

do you have a web site ? other vid on You Tube ?…

  • Just a suggestion Glen, Knock the bugger over and roll it to the splitter.

  • Glen YOUR FIRED!!!!! pick up your check

  • Ya'll make a good team.

  • Where's the rest of the community to help out?

  • too hard...

  • Smitten by Valerie

  • I have an idea that fits the Twin Oaks phylosophy. Have you ever seen a pile driver? The ones used to drive large post into the ground? Build one with a splitter head and use either a block and tackel or a bicyle type geared chain drive to raise it. The splitter head must be heavy. Different heights can be used for large or smaller sections of wood. Or a steam engine fired with wood could make it automatic. Good Luck, I really admire you guys ! ! !

  • how amy homes are you heating at 60 cords a year???

  • poor glen, that round was getting the best of him

  • I don't know your market. But can you cut those large chunks shorter? It might be less work to handle. Thats the way I cut large dia. wood. It's more pieces to handle but it saves your back. How do you move those large chunks to where you are splitting them?

  • We're not selling the wood, just using it ourselves. We cut the logs and haul them to spots near our buildings, then buck and split on the spot. We do sometimes cut them smaller--probably should have in the example shown in the video--part of the problem for this worker was that the large round was a bit downhill from the machine. Also, the worker could have called for help from the woman pictured...

  • @ 22 sec he almost split himself...

  • Nice Jobs

me and my wife always do our wood togather , i cut and she stacks just like you two .I also like the comment about wood is like money in the bank "so true"

    M butler

  • Great set up,But i'm suprised that your wood spliter seems a bit undersised.

  • We rarely see such large pieces of wood. The splitter does fine with most wood we gather.

  • That's hard work - cut,split,stack -

    I do 7cord a year and I love it -

This old guy told me years ago when I first started burning wood that "wood is like money in the bank"

  • A firewood processor would be far too costly at our scale.

  • that is a very manual process for wood spliting, wouldn't a firewood processor be better?

  • If you are giving away a $60,000.00 processor I'll take it... Thanks!
