well, most Windows 7 users are coming from XP, so this commercial is probably aimed more at XP users. Those coming from Vista will only be getting a more stable upgrade anyway.

You have to use the power setting. Win 7 takes you to the welcome screen for security reasons (you don't want any one just waking your computer and start using it the way you left it).

Weird, the video implies (shows) that the PC wakes up to whatever she was just doing. If it wakes up to the welcome screen for security reasons, why don't they show that? Is it a lie or is there a setting I missed?

No, you can easily set it so that it DOESN'T go to the welcome screen. It's up to you; therefore, the girl in the vid did the same thing. And besides, what's the point of an advertisement if you don't exaggerate? It's an ADVERTISEMENT buddy, and it's nothing new! :D

Oh okay. I was kinda confused because my laptop PC didn't wake up by opening the lid, only by pressing the power button, and showed the login screen first - but I suppose I could've configured it to act like in the video.

No they didn't...Honestly, I am running 7 RC with Aero with only 1 GB ram! I have seen my PC wake up faster than the video did! Vista on the other hand used to take at least 20 seconds!
