@miladmeah Firstly, the verse you quote above contains the arabic word 'Qital' and not jihad. Qital does translate to fighting in war, and that I do not contend. HOWEVER, please don;t take the verse out of context. There are many conditions in Islam which obligate fighting for us, and all these must be met. In addition, there are many conditions during fighting which must be met, e.g. cant kill civilians or ppl refusing to fyt with u or women and children and elderly.

@miladmeah Firstly, the verse you quote above contains the arabic word 'Qital' and not jihad. Qital does translate to fighting in war, and that I do not contend. HOWEVER, please don;t take the verse out of context. There are many conditions in Islam which obligate fighting for us, and all these must be met. In addition, there are many conditions during fighting which must be met, e.g. cant kill civilians or ppl refusing to fyt with u or women and children and elderly.

Yes it can be applied to the context of war, however, in Islam it applies in the context of struggling against ur nafs i.e. inner self and desires, and ensuring u are not devited by ur desires. In addition, one the prophet pbuh returned from war and said to his companions 'u are returning from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad'. This obviously highlights my above point.

He read surah Maryam takwir in masjid umawi and from there when to Halab by plane and at the airport thousands were waiting to just have a glimpse of him. The masjid in Halab was overflowing with people.the gathering was so large that even in the days of king saif daula hamdani the masjid never witnessed such a huge crowd, not only the courtyard and out buildings but the minarets,roof and roads were overflowing with enthusiasts of the Qur`an.
