  • Hazmat transport is effectively done every day in this country. You couldn't fill your gas tank or open packaged food without what is the standard logistics of hazmat in the US.

As an experience trucker (16 years) and US soldier with 10 years experience in tactics: I would challenge a lot of the statements in that meeting. As far as site security I've been at both Nuclear and ammunition storage sites: you'd need 100+ commandos and the equivalent of ICBM strike to do anything significant|

  • They have moved this stuff around Europe for DECADES without ANY accidents to speak of.

If people like this would STOP purposely throwing up roadblocks at every step of the way, Yucca Mountain would ALREADY be accepting shipments and they would be stored SAFELY underground.

  • I can't believe I have a 9, I thought I had reached the worst of it halfway through but then they made the implied possible insurgent attack on a shipment in the US.

This is just bullshit. First they would need to get within the country or recruit some people in it, then they would need equipment to either steal the material or force a release. Then they need break through security and know when it was being shipped, which it self is probably classified. Getting a nuke in would be easier!

  • Even more

    5. Just because you don't like nuclear power does not mean transporting it will create more waste, i.e. we can isolate it to one spot and lower production

    6. Iraqi war disproves Yucca mountain, are you serious?

6a. He is not a military expert, and I am guessing not in transportation or physics either, if he is I'm sorry

    7. His conclusion matches #2 dead on, and I wrote that before this video was halfway through.

    8. This is bellyfeel (look it up) politics and nothing more

  • Problems with this guy

1 he made it obvious from his opening he opposed the technology so he begins with bias

2 An irrelevant criticism of a map that was probably just a demo for that city by itself and they may be lying and there are complete maps out there

3 his entire argument is conjecture assuming industry corruption and government incompetance

4 Going through roads by homes of 7.5 million voters, by dozens schools and hospitals; could you be any more of a political weasal?

  • Make nuclear weapons to kill off other countries' citizens (or maybe our own), make nuclear waste (that you can clean up) and use some of it in food irradiation, or just transport it on roads past neighborhoods, schools, etc. to dump and collect in some unknown location. Your best best is to live in the middle of nowhere, but that could become an easier target for nuclear waste sites.

  • yes please a little common sence please in what is the half life to these chemicals and are they going to dispose of them through the food and products which people consume?
