The genie is voiced incredibly well in many dub versions, but I still consider Williams THE voice of the genie. Something about his slightly coarse but still versatile and incredibly gregarious voice makes him the genie. He owned the character from inception to the big screen.

Or maybe I'm just biased because I was exposed to him as Genie back in 1992... (´･_･`)

@Saavykaas HE IS THE BEST, but as far as dubs go I find the Japanese Genie to be very well done. Although...I've only watched Aladdin in English and Japanese...I've heard the other ones but really I don't know other languages as well as English and Japanese. I should watch it in Spanish next...

well,he didn't say 'taichou' (隊長),but he said 'taishou' (大将) .

According to my japanese-english dictionary, 'taishou' means 'a head' 'a chief ' , 'taichou' means 'a leader' 'a captain'. i love disney animation :)
