Monster trucks I've seen being transported usually have their wide tyres relaced by normal street sized wheels and tyres - making them the same width as the transporter truck.

Ever seen a real monster truck? they will blaze the rear tires on dirt, asphalt, concrete just where ever. They idle like that because they are blown and injected making oodles of torque and around 1800-2200 hp.

Actually, you can look at high Hp&torque drag cars along with Monster trucks. They all idle rough because of their mods~ just not made to run smoothly at low RPMs.

Yep and here in Whyalla it is a reasonably smallish city wide roads, when trucks carry wide loads the public is informed, and in a town like this people will stop to allow such a wide load. Have you ever seen a House Transporter, Honda they take up much much more room than the Monster Truck on the back of a truck :)

it is just the cam timing on the 572 big blocks... they run ethanol/top fuel so they run like shit at idle and run good at redline

and usually these trucks are running a 572 CI engine that is the biggest they are allowed. and a 871 blower

the driver isn't pumping the gas, the trucks run a heavily modified chev engine and thats the way they run. kind of like top fuel drag cars, at low revs they "throb" its got alot to do with the timing and the cam shaft that the the engines need to produce the power to do what these trucks do.
