Yep, the honeymoon is over. While you were burning all that glucose for energy, your body could not burn fat because that insulin that delivered the sugar makes you store up fat.

If you keep using glucose for your primary energy source, how in the heck do you think you can burn fat for energy?? You cannot burn sugar and fat at the same time. Up to you, stop eating carbs, stop using glucose for energy, stop making insulin so you can burn fat, or keep getting fatter!!!

The song is about intense exercise, during which the primary driver of glucose use is not insulin levels but the needs of the muscles. Consuming and using glucose in this situation definitely does not make you fat and in fact is necessary for optimal performance. It is also worth noting that one CAN burn sugar and fat at the same time, and that this is what happens during moderate exercise.
