  • Thanks but what are the dimension for this pauldron please ?

  • @Hisharas It was about 12" long from neck to bottom tip and about 11" wide.

  • @theproplady thanks !

  • Your foot must have been numb after that lol

  • Very nice work, thanks for the video

  • could you scan the template you used and post it on your blog? I am having massive difficulty recreating it...

  • really cool, you do exceptional work

  • @theproplady : NICE VID !!! where did you get the wolf ornament ??

  • I posted this on your blog, but I thought I'd ask here too.

Your tutorial is amazing, but I am having one problem: making the pattern. I've spent over an hour rewatching your video and trying to make the pattern, but I can't get mine to look anywhere close to yours. In the video it is pretty difficult to see how you are cutting it. Is there anyway you could maybe describe how you did it or put up a picture of what the original cut-out shape should look like? Thank you for your time :)

  • No matter how many times I see this, it never ceases to amaze me. Makes me wanna get out there and make my own armor for cosplay and such! Unfortunately, there's a lack of crafting materials at where I live.. :(

  • one question would be how sturdy is the armor made like this? I'd be worried about someone squishing one.

  • This is so great - thanks for posting this video! I can't wait to give it a try on my next project. How long would you estimate you let the piece dry between paperclay, paint, varnish steps? I'm trying to get an idea for the timeline here. Thanks again for these amazing videos!! I simply love your work.

  • @mjh8879 Usually, one leaves paperclay to dry overnight, but since this project seems to use thin layers at a time, maybe about from morning to evening? Same goes for acrylic paint, but from personal experience, acrylic dries somewhat sticky-ish and tacky, at first. Leaving it to dry awhile longer will make it 100% dry. I usually only let it dry completely during the last coat. Painting between tacky coats works for me. As for varnish, it's usually overnight. All the best with your project! :)

  • yeah it looks cool i made mine out of papermachie and bondo but your way is much easier i will try it right away thanks alot

  • you are legit my hero...

  • DAAAM XD

  • How long did this really take (not including waiting for paint to dry and such)

  • wow damn. that looks very good. it''s the only piece i need to complete my Cloud Strife cosplay, but i can't seem to get the pauldron made. tried different materials, a lot of different ways to use them, and none seem to work.

any way, i think i'm gonna try and do what you did right here. maybe i'll succeed this time

  • @Drekman1 Good luck. Check out the links at my blog for more tutorials if you need further help. ^_^

  • Wow, that's very impressive.

  • What's the name of the musics in this video?

  • Check the description of this video for information on music. (Can't tell you the titles of the songs, but I do know who did them and where his music can be found.)

  • That was amazing, I wish I could make thinngs like that in 10 minutes. hehe :P

  • Heh. me too.

  • That's badass. Good thing I watched the video in good lighting or that light transition could have made me blind!

  • I envy you.

  • very informative, i never thought of covering poster-board with paperclay. What a great idea.
