I have been watching James' shot for a while on youtube, and I find it so much fun to watch even though I'm a two-handed bowler. Be aware that he might not be using a high performance ball guys!! He has revs and power just like a two-hander. I'd say the two-hander is probably more consistant. Post more vids James!! Haven't seen a new one in a while!!!!!
First off, the two hander was great. Very smooth, very consistent.
Now the one hander... Dude, you're gonna hurt yourself. Your armswing is horrible, i'm suprised you didn't dislocate your shoulder or your wrist. Your approach is just awful. First off, your timing on it is bad, your losing balance to maintain that awful armswing. Fix all of it. You can get those kind of revs without looking like a pompous douche about it. The two hander was better by far.
@ZeroTuck I've bowled with the one-hander, James, and he's been bowling like this for a long time. He's a pretty awesome bowler, and a good guy to boot, regardless of his timing or his approach. I've seen far worse.
I have to agree with everyone here the two hander very good great repeatability. the one hander u didn't hit the same spot twice your approach is borderline awful and you're trying too hard to hook the ball instead of prying it off your hand. get the ball off your hand quit trying to hook the whole lane. You don't need to do that to score. Need proof? see Norm Duke, Walter Ray Williams Jr. Mika Koivuniemi. More proof? defending usbc open all events champion matt mcneil.
the one handed bowler would add so much more power to his shot if he would just stop sticking his ass out, face the pins better, and keep his balance. your getting good revs but your making way to much added movement on your approach and you end up turning away from your target to sustain that back swing of yours.
To the Two-Hander. I'd work on quieting the moving parts as much as possible and keeping the head from dipping or swaying. Helps in the long run w/ consistency
I feel sorry for the kid that bowls handed the way he bowls he's going to tear his shoulder up when he gets older if not his shoulder its going be his wrist or elbow. I'm a one handed bowler myself and watching this make my whole arm hurt.
About comparing a two-hander to a one-hander, I've noticed that when people complement a two-hander, they're likely to point out elements that are similar to a one-hander's style. A two-hander tends to raise the balance leg higher, turn more sideways, and do a skip step. If a two-hander moves more like a one-hander, that can be OK, but it could be a sign of trouble.
To the two-hander: Thinking about the backswing recently, I came up with a focus that seems to help me. Instead of thinking of /swinging/ the ball back, after the ball is moved forward, I think of drawing it straight back to its highest point. The weight of the ball still pulls it down into an arc, but the ball doesn't drop as low and pull on the body as much. From there the ball swings forward. I think of it as a half-pendulum swing. What do you think?
the kid throwing one hand is going to blow his wrist out in 2 years tops. try to tame that some. Try to learn to adjust to the lanes and stop letting the ball do all the work. The kid thats throwing 2 handed. he has got a great release, one of the smoothest ones ive seem with two hands. keep it up man.
@looseleftie, i have been bowling 2 handed for about 2 years now, i made the switch despite some critizism and have drastically improved my game, bowling my highest series (799) and high game (300) using this style.
if you want to see some more videos of me bowling please check out my profile and subscribe. TyTwoHands, Ghomey is a close friend of mine and shouldnt mind me hijacking his comments :P
i will be uploading a video of me bowling at every practice session playing different lines etc.

I love the two hander.. The smoothest I have ever seen, in terms of footwork, keeping dead straight at foul line and ability to repeat shots.. I bowl two handed, its going great for me,ave over 200 now, love it, still I love this two handers style, very smoothe..
Hey two hander how long u been bowling with this technique, and what you averageing??
yah the guy bowling with one hand has really slow ball speed and your trying to crank it to much dont try so hard i use to have that problem and when my coach taught how to not try so hard my average went up 40 pins
Man that one-hander drives me crazy! I swear, you look like you're going to break your back, wrist, elbow, and shoulder with every freakin' shot! Settle down a little bit, k? It looks like you're having a seizure on your follow-through!
Uhmm the kid with one-handed....WOW....that is the most strange backswing or whatever you call it ever....be careful you dont like rip your arm out of socket...lol..
@i3enthebowlerkid exactly, the one hander need to start over form scrathc. he obviously bowls just for the cool look but longevity wise he will not have that many revs for 2 long. 2 handed bowling is easier on the body. 2 handed wins
@michaelmaloney79 yea the two hander in this vid throws it great! and if they were both on sport shots i dont think the one hand guy would hit the head pin very often lol
@michaelmaloney79 I agree with everything you said except that two handed is easier on the body. The torque we two handers generate causes are backs to hurt and so we must stay in awesome shape to bowl this way. No fat guys would be able to bowl two handed very long.
@Brianbright36 I agree with you except for the fat guy thing. Ive seen a guy that just keeps his back straight and uses a low reactive ball. If you bowl two handed the right way (sounds funny) we do have to be in shape, this is clear
i bowl 2 handed and my league doesnt complain i have like a 206 average my high game is like 299 and i have a 799 series thats it but like 2 hands i think is pretty awesome has its advantages and disadvantages
are you a retard two handed bowling is one of it biggest growing styles in tenpin bowling and if you look at Jason Belmonte and Osku Palermaa two of the most well know bowlers and its because of there two handed style so stop being a little bitch about it
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
2 handed bowling should not be allowed ever, its the failures way of bowling. Bowling is about developing a skill set in getting the ball down the lane USING ONE HAND. if you cant throw with one hand, you shouldn't be bowling.
Then I suggest you cut your own weak arm off, you immature dickhead. Where the fuck did the rules say that you have to bowl one-handed? Prove me a fucking article or even the rulebook where it says you HAVE to bowl one-handed. Your comment really pisses me off, you one-sided piece of shit. I like experimenting both ways of rolling the ball. Etch this to your head, asshole: THERE'S MORE THAN 1 FUCKING WAY TO ROLL THE FUCKING BALL! STICK WITH IT, MOTHERFUCKER!!!
Oh lordy, than 1 handed release was horrific to watch .. what has been seen, cannot be unseen! Great bowling by the 2 hander tho.

I think the two hander has a pretty form, my only concern is keeping the ball closer to his body. The finish and the ball speed are excellent.

two hander looks great, but axis tilt down?? :/ Get it up like belmo already.
The 1 hander has a crazy swing, needs to tone it down a bit & earn some consistancy. Very impressive though, how's you're back? D:
In all I choose neither, but the two hander wins here.
