  • this is amazing to see,+ makes one think about whats really most important-HEALTH!

  • Sam, that is great news about your transplant. I hope all continues to go well. I am still doing very well. I have had no rejection and my lungs are at 81% right now. There isn't really anything now that I can't do that I want to as far as my breathing is concerned. For me, at first I didnt feel like my new lungs were all that I had imagined. My chest felt tight and my breathing still felt a bit shallow. It wasnt until the last few weeks that I felt like i could really breath in deeply.

  • Congratulations, Sam! All the best to you and keep breathing easy.

  • Your story is pretty much a mirror image of mine, im 24 years old with cf and had my double lung transplant 11 days ago and am doing pretty good. No rejection yet, just trying to walk around as much as possible to get the new lungs pumping. Any advice?? Sam from New Zealand.

  • My advice to you is to stay active and keep your body moving. Don't get discouraged if your body has trouble "catching up" to your new lungs. It takes time. Each day I am getting stronger and able to do more. Dont over do it on the excercise though. If you injure yourself you are back to square one again.
