this ceremony is beautiful. but it has much western influence. what were wedding like at time before pahlavi and ghajar era ? did ancient persian have special wedding ? before islam ? the ring ceremony and cutting cake is all european stuff. best to this couple. becuase no matter what culture marriage is hard today. especially cultures that are changing role and relationship of man and wife.

All of the weddings I have seen and been to have been similar to this. I didn't know any better. but I for sure will look into that and find out how they were many many years ago.

I guess the ceremony has changed from region to region from era to era. an Azeri wedding pre-Islamic period must be different that a ceremony in Mazandaran during ghajar era. Iran is a diverse place with ancient and unique cultural history. Beauty everywhere.
