@BVM428T Me and my mate were mad on Moggies and went to see Will when he was building his, The cold winters put paid to my moggy years, I will get another eventually!! My mate is in Australia now, there's every chance over there too. Nice car, inspiring.
Very nicely done....if you get round to doing a project for a Fiat engine of this type again, the Lada in its original Fiat for of 1966 or 1967 came with this unit, or somthing very similar.
I'm trying to get an idea of how big a Morris Minor actually is, so please excuse me for asking - how tall are you? I'm just under 6,4" and I don't want to look odd with a tiny car :)
@SmegFridge91 Hey don't worry about it. I'm 6'6" and got a cracking traveller. Doesn't matter what others think, the style more than makes up for it!!
i was just looking at a 56 morris minor 1000(project). The guy bought it and now said he can't spend anymore money/time on it. He is giving it away for free. I think if I hang on he will pay me to take it from him! lol
Fuel tank position is a compromise. Two of those are C of G for handling and not being able to put the seat down. However my father also owns a Volvo estate which he uses for moving big things.
Don't like the fuel tank position. I can't see the point apart from making it easier to fill it up, but it means that you can't fold the rear seat flat to carry long things, and yes, its amazing how many people don't know you can do this by undoing the two wing bolts in the boot....!
Nice modification with the fuel tank position. Do it alter the road holding as the weight of the fuel is now above the rear chassis line as below as standard.
Great job, but two questions. Wouldn't it have been possible to have the radiator fan thermostatically controlled, and why should the battery be available for 'topping up', as most are permanently sealed these days?
VERY well done! Nice to see a car that has been restored with care and maintaining the morris looks! Im only 19 and have a 1959 Morris Minor 2dr. Very profesional finsh! outstaning!
Is that will burgess from clayton brook? remember his silver twin cam he made in about 88ish.

@69waveydavey Yes it is. His silver twin cam (with spare wheel in the boot) was very nice.

@magna59 I did build a Lada Riva (which was originally the Fiat 124) with a 2 litre Fiat engine. That was lots of fun!

I found this very interesting. If you did the work yourself, you are a very clever man.

@1100HondaCB His two sons built it for him. We have built many other Minors over the years but this we considered one of the best.

@BVM428T I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Nice & tidy, the engine reminds me of my Dad's Fiat 132, it is a great smooth engine and very compact.

Yes it would be possible to have a thermostat controlling the fan. We always used a switch because it was simplist way of doing it.
I think the battery was an older style that could be topped up. But as you say most are now sealed.

It must have taken great skill to retain the Morris Minor character with all the other makers car parts , the Fiat engine looks neat . A great film !
