@Doomsdaywarrior That's like saying the DC's music for Track 5 is different than the N64's Track 2 music. Other than length, It's the same song but the N64 version is degraded due to lower sample rate (22047Hz) to fit on a cartridge.

man i wish they put San Fransisco rush,rush 2,and rush 2049 for ps3 that would be so bad ass and to play tthese games from when i was like 6 and 7 years old
Doomsdaywarrior, any chance you can put a 5 minute looped version of this up? I used to leave the menu on in the background when I did homework back in the day, thinking about it I'd love to have it as a track on a cd, but the 50 sec version doesn't really grasp the memmory
Me too. This game was so creative that nobody has has made anything quite like it since. For example, wings on cars? How come nobody else has thought of that?
Because game designers for the most part go for the realistic future crap.
Personally i liked Rush 2049 art style , and i can only wish for there to be another game like this in the future.
As some thing close to it spiritually i have to say Burnout paradise , lots of short cuts/ secret areas , fast over the top game play , crazy cars , and huge jumps
SpeedZone for Wii is the closest so far, but it just doesn't have the charm, thought, and downright feel that drew me to Rush 2049. I fear if a Next Gen Rush 2049 is made, it might turn out like Burnout Paradise, being good but changed and worst of all, not having its 4 split screen play.
Its still in production, you can look at trailers here on Youtube or on Gametrailers, the game is supposed to have up to 8 players locally. It has a battle mode, from what I heard Techno music and futuristic tracks. Still, it doesn't give me that Rush 2049 hype and nostalgia, doesn't matter, its close enough and will make a great game to play when family is over.
@Doomsdaywarrior Because everyone else is probably on the lookout for possible "video game breakthroughs" like lazer cannons and acid bomb guns... All the simple stuff could be used to make something else... Like Rush 2049.. Wings on cars.. Incredible. Makes me wish we were still in the old times. XBox live is ok, but still, I would like having friends over just to play games like this, at least then we could spend time together and have more, REAL fun... Ah the good ol' days.. (I'm 13 btw ._.)
@BurningTireCP lol, i'm 24 and i totally agree with you. In this digital age there's less of those more bonding moments with friends than there was when the 64 came out. Hell, I used to have friends over all the time up all night playing Killer instinct on th SNES.
I have the midway arcade treasures 3 version of this game. I liked the n64 version, but anyways thanks for posting this music. Brings back good memories when I was owning everyone at the 4-player battle. Could you do a longer version of this music because theirs more than this part of the song than this.

Actually, it's a remixed version of the N64 menu music. This song plays when you visit the Rush 2049 website through your Dreamcast.
