Personally, as much as I love Brett and what he did for the Packers for as long as he did it, I am glad he is gone. It gives Aaron Rodgers a chance to step up, and boy has he done it in a big way :). Watching Rodgers play is like watching a young Brett Favre play, he just has fun with the game!
He was, in my opinion, the BEST ever, I miss him and I can't believe it's 4 years since he left Green Bay. I live 10 minutes from Lambeau and again, he was the best in my time thus far. Go Brett and thank you for all the memories, it will live forever:)
I dont like the waffling between retiring or not retiring, but who really does? but beside that, this guy was so much fun to watch play football. hes the reason that i firsst started watching football as a young kid, and eventually ended up wanting to play football, from pop warner and up through high school
Correction - Brett's first Super Bowl season. His second Super Bowl season was right after that. But he didn't win his second one. His third one will be this coming season. ;)
This is awesome stuff Jonspike!! I take it you compiled this yourself correct? The only thing better than this is having the actual Larry McCarren and Wayne Laravee (or whoever was the play by play at the time) local broadcasting correlating with the plays. I would pay good for it...
That Packer organization really messed up trading him.. After everything he did here in Green bay all these years and to just "move on" because he changed his mind and wanted to play again, he was still under contract. I got a kick out of Ted Thompson when he offered favre 25 million to "stay away" and Favre turned it down. Thompson kiss my ass. The end result, Green Bay will have a 7-9 season and I hope Favre wins the SB this year for the Vikes. Bring back Holmgren! Thanks for posting.
you are wrong. the packers have 9 wins already and have a chance to finish 12-4. i used to love favre and will go back to loving him when he leaves the vikings but i cant cheer for a rival
I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like when Green Bay hosts the Vikings in a few weeks. I'm sure there will be many fights between drunken fans. It will be interesting to say the least!
I don't really care what anyone says about Favre, I liked the guy, and he was very fun to watch.

Would have liked to see him throw one more TD. 40 would have seemed like a nice, round number

Favre loves throwing to his tight ends in the red zone. Visanthe Shiancoe is like Favre's new Keith Jackson with the Vikings.

Brett was never quite the same when Holmgren left. He could have had a dynasty here in GB. Damn you Holmgren!

I always wondered why he didn't go for another TD.
40 touchdowns sounds like a nice, round number.

You know if Chumera, Freeman, and Brooks had not gotten hurt this season I think Favre could have broke Dan's TD record. What do you guys think?

it's easy to forget how dominant Favre was in his prime..he's a shell of what he used to be
oneman91 2 years ago
I just wish he had thrown one more TD.
40 sounds like a nice even number.

I am really torn on being a Favre fan right now, but this video is great. In his prime there is no one that can touch the man.
On a side note, Keith Jackson was the man in 1996. Anyone who says he wasn't a difference maker needs to watch this.
Great job.
