Cool I bought one off eBay too for 75 bucks it gets my 512 mb of ram and a 60 gig drive it runs tiger 10.4 and has office 2004 on it I will update to 2011 when it comes out later this month and will update to snowleopard and will put atleast 1 gig o ram and atleast a 120 gig drive!

i've done the same thing in the past, getting old computers for the IDE drive, but they tend to fail miserably after some use. :( it's better to get a new one, even if it's more expensive.

funny thing is i've just got a Lombard last week, and it has a small, 4GB drive in it, which is already failing.

instead of trying to fing a functional 2.5" IDE drive, i'm going ot get a CF card (it's rather cheap), and use that instead.

200 gb

ofcoarse wayyyyyy to large for a laptop if thats what you are trying to upgrade or what not.

ur right too, u cant find an ide laptop hard drive for anything...
