@karolyipeti Yes they do. All of the minecraft menus are GUIs, just in a way that they look different. This is important so that if you wanted, you could get a GUI that can turn your mod off when you want. (Like recording an LP or playing on a server)

GUI programming is hardly different from non-gui java, just use the JOptionPane with the normal stuff.

i copied the programme exactly letter for letter, the main method is there. i have checked it over and over, there are no punctuation errors and no errors showing in eclipse (no red x's or warnings), still it will not compile (netbeans won't compile it either). the error given is 'exception in main thread'. any help or suggestions welcome. also, can anyone suggest a good netbeans tutorial? any chance of doing one bucky? btw love the tutorials so far :)

I just want to say something...I'm one of the 'Minecrafters', and I have not 'given up', or been 'overloaded'.

Granted, I learned very basic java my sophomore year in Highschool, but I've been watching these tutorials to learn some more advanced stuff, and have made multiple (functioning) plugins using the Bukkit Server API (for Minecraft)
