Your car may look cooler than my Honda; your Rolex may look better than my Seiko, and your diamonds may look cooler than my zirconia, but guess what? At day's end, my stuff is real, and neither of us has a Lambo, a Rolex, or a diamond. Get me?
Going out to eat in my fake lamborghini, wearing my fake rolex, his girl has a flee market fake knock off handbag, both wearing knock off outfits, wearing fake knock off shoes, rolling down the road listening to ABBA on a fake knock off IPOD that is playing out some china speakers. But at least the car made it to burger king. LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. come on you know this shit was funny. EVER WONDER WHAT ELSE IS FAKE IN YOUR LIFE.

At the end of the day month year, its a fake kit car, don't matter if you build it out of rubbermaid gabarge cans, or stainless steel microwaves, its still a fake. I you pulled into one of our shows here in Ma, you would feel like a phony, Is it kool Yes, but trust me put it back in the basement and let it rest. Or sell it to a poser in Canada cause 95% of the cars up there are fakes, and then buy a real one. I assure you if you feel the gears winding in your soul you will never look back,
i think it would be harder to make a replica of a car then to build a car from your own design, and based on the looks of this replica this guy did great job and prob had more fun building it then working towards the "real thing"
That is an incredible beauty. You have every right to be proud. Ignore the detractors. 16 year olds who still have to beg to borrow Mommy and Daddy's car.
I can respect a car built from scratch when it doesn't copy something already made, and made for the purpose of not being able to afford the real thing. I also don't respect that replicas are so blatantly fake looking. The time and money spent to make a fake one could be saved through financial means to gain interest over that period of time, and you would have enough to buy the real thing, and not be a tool.
I have to say that this car (does not matter if it is a replica etc..) is perfect! I bet the build quality is far better than original countach for 120k, time spent for detailing & fabricating, making every veld perfect, getting best bolts human can get, etc...
This makes this car a priceless...
There is NO price tag you can buy with any kind of money...
@RyuHayabusa06 I know of this guy, it's my dad's friend or friend of a friend or something, he custom built the whole thing top to bottom it's not a kit though. The guy had to knock out a wall to literally drive it out of his basement.
is that the one the guy built in a basement and tore the wall down to take it out? cause if it is u r looking at the greatest DIYer in the world , the panels are metal and handmade it's actually better than the original
@BayouBluesMan I've seen originals in Minnesota, and they are still the originals, so never can a kit car be better, but it looks very nice, the color gives it away though!
@MetallicBill dude...this is NOT a kit , u know what an english wheel is? u know what a panel beater is? google those 2 and then come here and answer my comment.
Not true, it IS a replica but not a kitcar. He made it from scratch, every panel is handmade in aluminium and not some prefabricated fibreglass body shell that that you get when you buy a kit. The tubular chassi is his own design etc. There's a lot of kits out there but this isn't one of them. He took his own measurements from a real countach and made one himself. Don't be so full of yourself and use less blanket statements please.
@Sunedosa Well, more power to him, I'm not meaning to disparage the work, it looks great, but for me, the only REAL Countach, is a real countach. Trying to tell them apart on the street is something that just bugs me, I do like the idea that you can find a way to own one, since they're unrealistic as far as buying one easily, a genuine Lambo can be found for less then 100K I believe
Well, this guy built this over 17 years so i guess some people can save up enough money for the real deal in that time. I haven't seen one for less than 120 k though, insurance and maintenance will take it's toll on your wallet aswell. I do agree with you about kitcars in general but i haven't seen more than a handful that could pass for the real thing like this one actually can. Most look awful, built on Fieros with a chassi 12 inches too short, horrible.
The LP400S was one cool looking car. I would take one in a copper brown, black, or navy. I would take the 375 HP engine package instead of the 353. A really pretty car in its day that has stood the test of time in sports car legend.
Replica cars don't get the respect they deserve. There's gotta be something special about driving a car that you built yourself. Any rich guy can buy a Lamborghini and drive it, but he wouldn't in a million years appreciate it in the same way as you do.
I've never done a replica project and dunno if I ever will. I'm more of a tuner guy who likes getting existing cars and improving their performance, but I have TONS of respect for you guys fabricating your own body's and shit. Fuck the haters..
@rawrghblarghwaurgh A replica car shouldn't get ANY respect!! It's a copy.. how would you like it if you just spent 150k and on a Lambo, and you see replicas driving around... it should be illegal.. It doesn't have to be a replica, you could restore an old classic..there would be much more pride in that, then driving a fake Lamborghini.

that even seems to sound like the real thing even though it looks like it has a V8 (Im just judging from the 8 air-restrictors I saw on it). Amazing...that really sounds like a Countach...
@losteden Fucking replicas!? Holy fuck, you're ignorant. This is a piece of fucking art. This guy built his dream car in his basement. He manufactured the body panels himself by building a wooden frame and making it fit with his own hands. A very tough process. What he's done is not just replicating, copying, stealing, whatever, it's passion and love for Lamborghinis put into a project of his own.
@MathiasJ94 Yes, that's why we should all appreciate the love chinese have for iphones and every other gadget that they copy and sell for a very cheap price. Their love is so big that they make tons of copies after iphones... Chinese that copy stuff are so full of love and passion, right?
@anarhy09 They do that for profit. He does this for his own pleasure. I don't know the man, but I imagine, that he probably doesn't have (and might never have) the money for an original Lamborghini. That China-analogy is kinda flawy.
my dad has been restoring a plymouth gtx since 1984, he only got the car running in 2008. its still not totally complete, it needs interior pieces and such. this is a nice car though, good job!
With the resources available to him, it is as good a job as anyone could have done. So, I mean him no disrespect by saying this: It is not 100 % body correct. Hey man just found out what you did that is great thing. I wish I had half the patience and the skill you have. Congratulations and hope you go have a little fun with it.
