great intro, I just don't like how the Hockey News is comparing Crosby to Wayne already. Crosby cannot stay healthy, he has a big mouth on the ice and he makes himself a target for guys to just level him. Part of the reason wayne was able to do so well was cause he stayed healthy all the time, and had freaky enforcers to help him all the time.

This is stupid. I hate how Canada always tries to make things "more" canadian. The bagpipes in this song are stupid and have to go. Also I think they could have looked a little harder for a main riff for the song it sounds amaturish. All in all i hate it. I would rather watch TSN and hear the origional HNIC sing. I wish they would add this to the EA NHL series... either the intro to the game (like when "NHL 11" boots up, for example), or maybe a somewhat shortened version at the beginning of each game... with some variation (so it doesn't become skip-skip-skip because you know exactly what it's going to be)

I'm from CT, grew up a B's fan when Orr was God. Worked with the Whalers the last 10 years they were here w/ HOF Broadcaster Chuck Kaition. I've seen good production and knew HNIC was an institution up North. But reguardless which theme CBC uses, the production and graphics to the themes are nothing short of amazing. Might be worth the price to get NHL Center Ice next season..

After hearing TSN's rendition of the Hockey Night theme, I have a gut feeling "Canadian Gold" is a suitable replacement for Canada's 2nd national anthem (that's if you get used to hearing it over the intro, both the intro and the song are done very well). Of course, the HNIC theme is irreplaceable, but it just don't fit on TSN or any place else other than CBC. And that's where the downfall comes from.

And speaking as an American, I myself feel an outrage about it, too.
