@FFL2Firewind I think, that´s a prototype from from one of Messerschmitt´s competitors to the Me-262. But I don´t know anymore, if it´s from Heinkel or Junkers.
1:57 looks like a P-38 that was stripped of its two propeller driven engines, given swept wings and a jet and now you have the latest and greatest P-38 model, The P-38N
@PitbullNL i think your mistaking your aircraft old son... maybe your thinking of the ME 163which used a very unstable fuel hydrogen peroxid and hyderzine... that stuff could eat the meat off your bones! the Me 262 used Parafinn(kerosine) to turn that aircrafts engine over!
the 6th and the 7th airplanes are designs that was used after the war like the british "vampire" and the sovjet "Mig 17" so they aren't really that odd. and talking about old designs used today, look at the german Go 229 and the US B-2, how close aren't they? and going in on weapon design i think that the russians stole the "Sturmgewehr 44" and renamed it to "AK 47" after a few adjustments.
Firstly the first DH Vampire prototype was finished in 1944 before the flitzer was even seen by the allies. After the war the designers of the Flitzer where invited to see the Vampire and where suprised to see how much it looked like the flitzer. Anotherpoint on that is the Flitzer was never built. As for Hockbain yes it was belived to have been copied by the russias to make the Mig 15 and Mig 17. But the Hockbain also only got as far as scale testing. The Go 229 prototype only flew.
The Nickname was "Huckebein", not "Hockbain" and it was used to develop the russian MIG planes. As a lot of the german prototypes and plans had been used by the US to develop various other jetfighters after the war. Unluckily the US engineers had not been smart enough to understand the Horten Go 229 concept until the late 80ties.
I think you're talking about the Focke wulf Ta-183 designed by Kurt Tank, that looked like the Mig-15/ Mig-17. When i first saw German secret aircraft of ww2 in history channel I was surprised to see the Ta 183 & i was like "wow, that looks like a Mig-15" I can't believe it & i was shock that the Germans actually envisioned the swept wing design already in 1944-45. If Germany focused & developed jet airplanes much earlier, the Ta-183 might be well in service & in production.
@StayvZ The B-1 owes much if not more to Jack Northrop than the Hortons. During the 1930s-1940s many aircraft designers fooled around with flying wing designs so there's nothing remarkable about the similarity between the Go229, the YB-49 (both designed at about the same time) and the later B-1.
@twobluehorses The YB-49 are probably the propeller version of HO-229, because USA kidnapped many nazi scientists and the YB-49 is designed shortly after ww2. search wiki and you'll see.
@StayvZ Flying wings were being designed and flown as early as 1911 (John Dunne). Northrop's designs date from the 1930s. Flying wings were designed in many countries. The YB-49 was the improved jet powered version of the YB-35 which was designed & flown in the early 1940s. The "kidnapping" of scientists included contracts, wages and eventual citizenship for the German aeronautics personnel who wished to stay in this country. I have searched wiki and this is what I found.
@StayvZ If you actually bother to track down what worthwhile ex-nazi 'paper-clip' scientists ever accomplished in US after the war, you end up with only few things: German V2 scientists headed the space program, and did so successfully, since they now had access to US technology and engineers. And one jet engine sicientist made an impact on Allison turboprop engine programs, where he made important contributions. They where also heavily involved in some early missile designs. - And that's all.
@StayvZ the russians did not adjust the Sturmgewehr 44... they stole a few, tested them, and then Mikhail Kalashnikov made the Avtomat Kalashkinova-47 A.K.A. the Automatic Rife of 1947
@StayvZ the russians did not adjust the Sturmgewehr 44... they stole a few, tested them, and then Mikhail Kalashnikov made the Avtomat Kalaskinova-47 A.K.A. the Automatic Rife of 1947
The third plane in the video is actually the Henikel He280 which was designed to replace the Me262 which was the first Jet in service. they did build a prototype but that is as far as It got
actually the HE 280 was the first jetplane with two engines ever made and 2-3 years BEFORE the ME262! it was nearly ready for serial production but it was dropped from the list 'cause poland and france had fallen so fast in the blitzkrieg and the luftfahrtminister göring said they would crush england with the ME 109.
Heinkel 280 was superior to the the later me 262, in some ways. Tricycle landing gear and ejection seat. The taildragger landing gear the 262 had first, made the jet difficult to get in the air.
Arado E555-1 and Ju287 were the prototypes of jet strategic bombers.

We play this song when - ever the local cops set up a "Check point".
Within a minute, the cops are all tapping their feet within time to the beat.
Yep, cops in Oregon are so stupid, they don't know the RLM theme song, but they love it!

Just imagine when these planes went into service, i really believe they could have turned the war to the nazis again ;)
The ME262 for example, magnificent plane to fly in sims, but the fuel was just too unstable :(
BUT they could have won the war with such machines
