Some other examples :
- Impossible for a non-christian or non-muslim to get some papers (baptism certificate asked)... An organised robbery from religious.
- Impossible for a foreigner resident since some years to buy (and own 100%) its own house. Same for making business in most part of them. Moreover the business permit system makes local governments rob a lot of money to foreigners and big companies as a form of corruption but it is another topic.

I totally agree you. You are 100% right : racism always come from people who doesn't understand enough the person they don't like.
However you totally forget a part of this (maybe you fighted it in another video... if yes forgive me) : the racism in the Philippines.
Here Nationalism is huge, and nationalism come also from a fear of "abroad"/"foreigner", mostly unjustified.
Just an example : Impossible for a filipino born abroad to run for a national electrion. And there is a lot of examples.

The Spaniards spread these ideas to the Filipinos a long time ago when they came and colonized the islands. Buksan mo ang mga mata mo. I agree that Filipinos need to form a stronger community (i.e. organizations that mean more than what province you are from) in order to gain visibility and have a better platform from which to spread cultural understanding. Filipinos should DEFINITELY stand up to racism because silence is acceptance. You can work quietly to stop racism all you want, but what you need is to make your voice heard. Where would all minorities be if blacks hadn't broken their silence with the civil rights movement?

I know this Japanese American born lady who told me that I'm not Asian, because she said Filipinos are Pacific Islander. Then later I found out that she lived in Hawaii all her life, and young Filipinos in Hawaii claim Pacific Islander so, I had to break it down for her. I told her Filipinos are SE Asians geographically and that makes us Asians NOT Pacific Islander, but more importantly our culture is truly a blend of many cultures, and truly that what makes us Filipino.

I haven't experience about being racism. Every time I walk on the street- people just staring at you, smiling, saying Hi, sometimes how are you. If some one racism me ok forget about it cuz i dont want to get involve for anything.

what do you think about asians who don't feel like filipinos are asians? i've experienced a lot of racism from other asians who feel filipinos are beneath japanese, koreans, and chinese.
also, totally different question: i saw videos of this place in thailand called pattaya. the girls seem to love white guys. would they be attracted to filipinos too? or could they care less?
in my experiences as a filipino, i feel like other asians don't find filipinos attractive.

I appreciate your compassion. It is different in an intercultural marriage, because you have dedicated your life to someone and someone's family of a different culture, and if they don't understand how to be culturally sensible, a sensibility that generates a healthy relationship for you to them and to yourself, then it can be a lot harder than you describe. It is important to be compassionate to other, but don't forget to be compassionate to yourself as well. It is hard not to get angry, harrd.
