F*** Me . wot a great tune love them, dont care that they may be politicaly uncorrect! so was Hitler he goty away with it . Ronn & Russ were well before their time& to me they are & alwys will be Musical Dons Misterals and make me sing
Whatever you thnk about Sparks, they were certainly original. The big joke being, of course, that the singer and keyboard player were actually brothers! But why do the audience look as though they were expecting a talk on jam making from someone from the Women's Institute?
Can anyone explain why on all of these "Disco" (Germany?) programmes the audience is always semi-comatose? I mean the crowd on TOTP might have been lousy dancers, but at least they were moving!
keyboard player had a great novelty about him 0% emotion, also look at how the audience are trying to be all serious then the woman breaks at 2:29 love it
@Usuckitv4 Ron Mael stated in numerous interviews that in Sparks' early years, he sported the toothbrush mustache as an homage to Charlie Chaplin. Unfortunately, too many snide comments were made comparing Ron's look to Adolf Hitler; by the mid-1980s he began wearing a thinner, pencil-styled mustache. He wear his mustache in the pencil style today.

Did the Pet Shop Boys get their inspiration from these two?
Seems feasible with Neil Tennant (singer and vocalist) as Russell and Chris Lowe (miserable keyboard player who never smiled) as Ron.
Worth some more research I think !

@BobTheMunificent All their mind's power is being directed to their ears so they can enjoy the music. Dancing would just get in the way.
