Ive been looking at this pistol for a while....and i was wondering will this last me a long time (durable??) and is it worth it because i dont wana spend like $150 for a side arm and this looks like the best 1 so far prices ranging from $75-120 on this gun? to any replies thanks!!!!
@brightk9 Bought it from a store front located in Long Island, NY. I believe they have a website if I could only remember the name of the store. I think it's somewhere in my earlier comments here.
bought that gun around a month ago, it seems like it shoots a little bit faster than the 300 fps it advertises on the box... anyway its a pretty good gun, but is a gas and bb hog, each tank of gas only lasts like 2 mags.
@XxXxXDarkMarineXxXxX it'll last 2 mags if I'm not firing rapidly. If there's no cool down period, it'll last about a mag and barely get through the next. In my experience at least.
@METTTTTSSS It's fairly reliable. Have had it for about 3 years now and the only part that has somewhat failed is the safety. I'll try to explain...with the safety on and the chamber empty when I cock the gun to chamber a round by using the slide and release it without assisting it into the forward position, the gun will fire off a shot. Other than this, everything else is still working fine. I have not had any issues with the full auto feature as of yet.
mine is semi-auto. They made a mistake where i've ordered i, anyone knows how to convert to full auto i guess there must be a missing spring somewhere you could remove to make it full auto.
@horndog2224 I can't really say since it really depends on your preference. The difference between the two pistols is that the HFC M190 I own is full metal and had the full auto option. I believe that the HFC also has a hire FPS compared to the WE Desert Warrior. My opinion of the WE Desert Warrior is that the build may be better but I'm not fond of the desert tan coloring and the plastic/abs body even though the internals are metal. Like I said, this really all comes down to your preference.
@horndog2224 May I also suggest pistols from Tokyo Marui and KSC. These are two brands that I prefer for GBB pistols. I would say if there's a airsoft store in your location, see if you can try them out before you buy.
@TheAirsoftDemon One reason I can think of is that you're using the full auto feature at prolonged burst. If you hold the trigger down to long the gas starts to freeze up the internals and the performance drops drastically to the point where it may malfunction. The worst case scenario is that it may require repair due to internal damage. Try firing the full auto at short burst and see how that works first.
@sharpedge989 I can't say since I have not used the px175 yet. The px175 is a sig p226 and they're pretty similar except that the M190 has a full auto feature. I personally like the looks of the p226. Are you planning to buy online? If you're visiting a store I would advise you to feel them both out and if they allow a demo, even better.
@CrewNYC i am buying online. i think i'll get the px175, i think it looks better, too, and somehow i just can't see myself using full auto with a gun like this.
@sharpedge989 In regards to the full auto feature, agreed. It's a cool novelty to have but not necessary. It's also a bit pointless in skirmishes. I've used it as a intimidation factor but just find myself needing to reload more often and wasting ammo. Sure one can argue that you can use it as suppressing fire but I'd rather utilize my AEG for that with a hi-cap magazine. Please do let me know how the px175 works for you.
@sharpedge989 Hey how's the px175 working out for you if you've picked it up already. I personally like green/red gas guns better over co2. I'm just tired of switching out co2 powerlets. I can't say anything in regards to power since I don't own any airsoft pistols that require co2. I can say my BB guns do fire at a hire fps than my airsoft pistols but it may also have something to do with the ammo being lead pellets and copper BB's.
@CrewNYC Yeah I got the px175 online and I like it, alot, it's my first gas gun and it's working exactly as I expected. I decided to get green gas instead of co2 because you can always just use cheap propane with an adapter. i can definitely see co2 being more powerful, this gun doesn't seem to have a very high fps. however I don't really care as it is just a sidearm and being full metal with blowback is good enough for me.
Horrible slip of the tongue there. Just to let everyone know what the difference is between a clip and a magazine. A clip is where ammo is on a strip and a magazine is where the ammo is housed in a "magazine".
almost bought a kwa cuz its a better gun but teammates have had more probs with the kwas and even more with the tms than this gun... idk y maby all lemons but this gun spits and hiqats dnt....plus this gat is dirt cheap.
For intimidation purposes, yes. Being that it's not the real steel, you can still be fairly accurate at full auto. The biggest issue is dumping your load in less than 3secs and having to reload. "Make each shot count"
You need a new part. Mine on my old one broke, it's a really small part on the slide release, the hfc m9 is a really delicate gun, it uses pot metal. 3 metal parts on my old one broke.
the only problem with these ive heard was you have to put it on semi to take it apart. and you can not pull the slide back when its on safe. if you don't do that the pin will break and the gun will only shoot semi auto.
A clip holds the ammo externally...think of grapes being pulled of a vine. A magazine holds the ammo internally with usually a spring that pushes it upwards as each round is fired.
The only AEP makers I'm aware of is from Tokyo Marui. Check out the Tokyo Marui G18C AEP. They make other models also such as the USP. The only con is that it doesn't have the blow back/slide movement....but I think their might be some out there that is capable. Google it and check out the reviews.
Sweet simple vid, nice, im buying some after seeing the full auto part. The narration was ok, you probably arent used to hearing your own voice as others hear it. Strange isnt it?
Hahahaha, true about hearing my own voice. I just made this video without much thought. Came across other vids of people giving a demo so I was like what the hell. The full auto feature is great but has it's cons. Use it to much and the pistol will freeze up since it is using co2. Great for intimidation in CQ's but you better have the second clip at the ready.
I just got the gas in yesterday. The gun is almost the same as the HFC model, except for three differences, mine (in particular) is all black, it's only semi automatic and the insignia thing on the left side of the gun is really corny.
Otherwise it's a dandy little pistol. Only problem I had was that I didn't put in the BB's right sometimes and when I'd cock the gun a BB would pop out of the mag or even get stuck in the breach.
I also noticed my pistol had a little harder kick in the blowback.
In regards to your bb problem. Is the chamber/breach empty when you load a new clip in and cock it? If not, a bb will pop out or jam since it's now loading two in. If your chamber/breach is empty and you're cocking the pistol with a new clip, that is truly a problem. I'd exchange it and if it still happens...maybe another choice is in order.
Well, I asked someone else about the problem and they said that my mag's thingies that hold the BB's down was worn out. Its probably right because I tried to fix it and it works flawlessly now. Thanks anyway man. If the mag screws up again, I can just get another one.
I just bought a Tippman R-650 on ebay from getintosports, just best offer them for 79.95 they sold it to me for that. I say thats not a bad price for such a nice gun. Free shipping too.
Hey Toms6928...I replied to your comment and it's listed underneath funrec. Basically both pistols are HFC, Tippmann just markets it underneath their name.
That is indeed true. The Tippmann and HFC are exactly the same because the Tippmann is the HFC just marketed under Tippmann's name. You can actually find the HFC cheaper online than the Tippmann. Buy either one if you find it cheaper.
The minor issue I've come across is when firing rapidly the green gas freezes up the internals where the slide won't lock in the back position when the magazine is empty. Two major issues I've just recently come across is the safety switch and magazine. Safety on and then cocking the pistol sometimes fires off a round. One out of three magazines seems to be leaking gas. Other then that it fires fine and operates fine when not shot off rapidly.
In my opinion yes. I have noticed that upon firing rapidly in semi that the slide does not catch in the lock poition sometimes due to the gas freezing things up. The FA mode is fun but I wouldn't reccommend people use it too much.
Yup yup, that would be the place. Cheaper online then buying at the store but you can deal with the owner. Got a free mag and can of gas with my purchase(only because I bought a crap load of other things).
Hey, on redwolf they say there is no hop-up on the full auto version of the hfc m190. Is this really the case? and if so, is the range hampered significantly?
Thanks for the info. I'm really just looking for a pistol to play with around the house. For large organized scenario events I play paintball, so I'm not looking to switch over to airsoft, it's just easier to play around houses than paintball is. I've checked out airsoft stuff enough to know that I shouldn't get a 30$ spring gun that would break in a week, so I'm just lookin for a reliable gas gun now.
Gotcha, I'm a woodsball paintballer myself and most of my airsoft is for around the house use and for collecting. This particular pistol is great for around the house and plinking in the backyard.
Remove the slide and Try cleaning the internals near the selector switch. If you put the selector on full auto, look for a small rounded pin that should spring out a few mm. Mine accumulated some crap during break-in and the same thing happened. Worked just fine after cleaning and lubricating.
Here's the website I mostly shop from the site I sent to you in a PM. I'd advise you to shop around on prices but the site I gave you is pretty fair and IMHO a trust worthy site. Happy Shopping. Oh...check out KJ Works...they make some great airsoft pistols...better than HFC I believe.
"Air Model Firearms, Read Instruction Before Use" Yup yup. Dang? $160 without a extra mag? IMHO you were ripped off. See if you can return it and check these sites out(pyramydair)or(hotspotairsoft). I prefer the first one but the site isn't too bad either.
it looks like i got the same gun i got a week ago but it doesn't have the automatic feature just in case did it say "read instructions before use" ( or something close to that) on the other side of the pistol it cost 160 without the extra mag i got since the first one broke
Thanks, as I was shopping around I looked at some blank pistols myself. Tempting but I wanted to be able to target practice also which is why I went with a airsoft. Saw your video, you must have woke the neighborhood up.

The FA mode is fun but I wouldn't reccommend people use it too much.

where did you buy that ?

Bought it from a airsoft store located in Long Island, NY. Forgot the name of the place.

i would believe that would be Hot Spot Airsoft
HellGuard99 4 years ago
Yup yup, that would be the place. Cheaper online then buying at the store but you can deal with the owner. Got a free mag and can of gas with my purchase(only because I bought a crap load of other things).

Hey, on redwolf they say there is no hop-up on the full auto version of the hfc m190. Is this really the case? and if so, is the range hampered significantly?
katanamaster 4 years ago
Yup, there's no hop-up. The distance is fairly decent and accurate. Then again this is a pistol and is meant more for CQB and as a back up weapon.

It's M199 if it's f/a =p The M190 is s/a only. Damn nice though, I've owned 9 of the HFC Berettas, and really can't fault them.
djenorman 4 years ago
Actually this is a "M190" Special Force. They made a s/a,f/a version of it also. Check out RedWolfAirsoft online and you'll find it there.

Nice gun!!!!!!!!!

CrewNYC 4 years ago
it looks like i got the same gun i got a week ago but it doesn't have the automatic feature just in case did it say "read instructions before use" ( or something close to that) on the other side of the pistol it cost 160 without the extra mag i got since the first one broke

Thanks, as I was shopping around I looked at some blank pistols myself. Tempting but I wanted to be able to target practice also which is why I went with a airsoft. Saw your video, you must have woke the neighborhood up.
