The dude's voice rocked, love "Oh Sherri" too. The man could sing the hell out of everything!... You know they always say when you date a man watch how he treats his mother because that is how he will treat his wife. So I can imagine Steve would treat a woman with a lot of love, respect, and probably keep her on a pedestal. Shame it seems like he kept picking women who didn't appreciate that.
Oh god don't you really feel for Steve when he talks about his Mum,he gets really choked,what a wonderful relationship they must have had.I know a lot of people Steve knew used to take the piss out of him cos he was close to his Mum,all i can say is better a relationship like that than one where your parents let you go & leave school & join a rock band at 15!!

Please understand: I don't want to crash anyone's dreams but 2 things are certain: Steve will NEVER sing with Journey again, and the chances of him touring are about nil (he referred to his age, 61, in a very recent interview and said he can't do the stuff "we did when we felt no pain"! Rumors of a new solo CD started a year ago, and HE HAS the songs...it's just a matter of when! He knows how badly his fans want it, so I PRAY he does it.

Every time I go to a Journey concert and heard the new lead singer wasn't singing again, I thought great Steve is back, but no. Always disappointed.
I look for him all the time on the net hoping he sings again alone or w/ a group. We need to hear him on last time. Many singers his age are still making CD's ...Rod Stewart..McCarthy etc. Please come back on concert tour.

Very cool to hear Steve's voice and knowing he's doing well.
And the talk about him Not getting anything from the music is well, i think Steve may be holding back just a tad as Steve is Known to be the sixth member in Journey on legal standpoint and continues to make money on this material and Neal hates that.
Steve made that happen through lawyers.
Smart move for Steve.
And yes Steve has something coming out at the end of 09 according to his session drummer so Yes VeriSheri is right.

Another interesting note: Steve still cannot talk about his Mom without getting choked up. Yes, love is eternal.

Lisa, I am SOOOOOOO happy you posted this one!! Thank you! I have so wishing that Steve would do another interview soon. I LOVE hearing his voice and how great he sounds! I am also happy to hear the radio announcer say that Steve "is currently working on solo material." I really hope that he has something out by the end of this year. Steve, we love ya and can't wait to hear from you (the incomparable VOICE) again! :-)))
