If we agree that guns kill people, then what must also be true is that guns kill bad people. Since criminals do not obey laws, any restriction in firearms only applies to law abiding citizens. In a sense, you're disarming the people who use guns to kill bad people with strict gun "control" laws.

You can own as many pistols as you want, if you obtain a Collector's License ( Licenza di Collezione ).
There isn't any limit on shotgun rounds, you just have to register an amount in excess of 1500.
Paintball is illegal because it exceeds the 1joule max limit.

If you do plan one moving to America after college I suggest applying for citizenship NOW. It takes a few years for a foreigner to become an American citizen, so while you finish up college, your citizenship will be in the process of approval.

I was born and raised in California and lived all my life there, when I got interested in firearms I was so pissed that I was so limited, the waiting periods to purchase a firearms, magazine capacity limits, the rifle pistol grip restriction, and all the ammo restrictions. I packed my bags and left for Montana, a wonderful and free state with almost no anti-gunners!
