  • this is a legitimate life choice for those who believe the tenets of their faith. Surely the vacuous nature of many secular vocations and the emptiness of modern life make this ancient choice appropriate for the psychologically and theologically predisposed.

  • Such wonderful people. God Bless!

  • beautiful video, God bless you and the sisters in your order

  • Just out of interest and I don't mean this in any offence how many nuns get ordained and stay in monastery these days as pressure to young nuns in today's society there must immense pressure and temptations compared to the past when we didn't have computers and tv etc and not as many family problems as there is now days but I hope this new nun has a most joyous peaceful life serving god and preaching his love to all

  • You people are Evil Nuts,

  • @DanielR305 Daniel its not ordination (thats reserved for priests) its called perpetual profession...being a nun is as the same as a basketball player who commits himself to the sport with endless practice and brutal physical work outs same for religious men and women if they have it set on their mind and heart they will go for it.

  • @DanielR305 Most of these nuns have seen what the world has to offer and said no thanks.

  • @DanielR305 Hi Daniel-your questions were wonderful, and show your sensitivity. In reality, a lot of religious communities are finding their numbers increasing, especially those who are returning to wearing the habit, or some form of dress. It is not a dress to put them outside, but rather to show the world, YES, INDEED-there is a Christ that is worth following.

I am hoping to begin a new community within the Old Catholic Church, and I too wear my habit in public-A witness to God's Love.

  • @DanielR305 The things the world has to offer is empty, and many people see that. The world in uncertain and transient, and it is something that can offer stability. Sometimes people see that pleasures and temptations can never benefit anyone and they said no thanks to them. I am a Benedictine monk and said no thanks to the lies and corruptions that can bring a human being to despair and destruction. Religious life is holy and beautiful..Oh if more people would see it!

  • what a beautiful video thank you very much for uploading

oh what would i give to be at the place of this young women

it most be so amazing to give yourself to Jesus

  • This was so beautiful.. I cant wait until i either receive Holy Orders or take vows for the Brothers of the Sacred Heart,, I am still in discernment please pray for me, and i will pray for you and Sr. Mary Agnes and all who are discerning

  • I will pray for you in my daily Eucharist

    In Corde Iesu

  • I admire her. That will be me someday.

  • Great joy!

  • I have an aunt who's been a nun for over 70 years. She said when they threw away the habit in 1970, some of the older nuns "flew the coop", and young women stopped joining all together. The youngest nun in her whole order is in her 50's. But she tells me the orders that kept the habit still get a good amount of young women who are interested in entering religious life.

  • @TenderTrap86 I can easily see why. Women don't join a religious order to be just another member of society... their hearts are different, so why shouldn't their dress be, as well? I think it's so important that religious of all orders and men of the priesthood wear the dress of their lifestyle to be a visible witness.

  • IN Memory of Dominican Sister Mary Celsa Nee who was professed in 1925

and passed into eternity on Feb. 12, 1997. She was born in South Boston,Ma. and is

buried in St. Catherine's in Kentucky.

Sr. Celsa was loved and respected by all

    who knew her !

  • Although I am not Catholic, I do have great respect for those who have such a commitment to religous life.

  • @mrsd81km,

Thank you for your positive comment, many Non-Catholics are not as nice as you.

  • Beautiful... thank you ...

  • Though I am not Catholic I find religious so interesting. I must say though that I am always awed by people who choose the cloistered contemplative life. That to me is incredible and probably one of the hardest lifestyles ever. Honestly, I am just awed by this short documentary.

  • I am Catholic, and I think "awed" was the word I was looking for too:)

  • That must have been such an exciting day for her.

  • God bless you!

  • This is unspeakably beautiful...

  • we praise God for the holy vocation to contemplative life. may young men and women respond to the call of God.

Thank you for sharing this to us.

  • These nuns have sacrificed everything in their lives, including their own wills, for the salvation of souls and for the poor, the weak and the abandoned. No level of self sacrifice or charity like this will ever be found in the world.

  • I've been there!!

  • .

Remember Christians, the will of God is no Catholic, Protestant,Orthodox, Penticostal, Adventist, JW, Etc. NO DIVISION, Only Christians, holy, helping and sharing instead of buying and selling.

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:9-21)

  • Sister, I need a spanking, please.

  • With all due respect, thank god these nuns aren't entering a teaching order. One sounds like a valley girl, like. Like. Like. The other can't stop saying you know, you know. They're just young girls, so they're forgiven. Even though I loathe nuns. With all due respect.

  • This is an awesome video and I am glad you made it for others to see.

  • I'm so grateful for all the sisters who gave me such a good smacking when I was a wee girl. The shame/grace dialogue hasonly gotten stronger since!

  • this is so inspirational...............i cud have cried when theyy cut her hair

  • Let us join in prayers and pray for more ordained priests, deacons and sisters around the world, especially Sweden. They are so needed and important,

  • and in england aswell

  • and Ireland!

  • RCCTVtube

  • pls pray for us as we pray for you also!

  • I pray more join them in their wonderful life. Thank you to them for their prayers for us and the whole world.

  • i'm 19 years i wanna become a Nun

  • God bless you

  • I'm not even religious, but there is something romantic and beautiful about dedicating your whole life to something. I wish I could have that much passion for a subject.

  • May God bless these nuns on their journey!

  • Yes mame. There are two types of consecrated religious. The nuns in this video are contemplatives. They dedicate their entire life to prayer and union with Christ in the Eucharist. Their sacrifice and their prayers call down Gods mercy upon the earth and keep this place from falling apart. The other type of religious are active. They pray hard and bring Jesus to the people. Mother Teresa's sister's are an example of an active order. God bless you and God love you!

  • wow...I had no idea. This is seriously one of those things I have always been rather curious about since watching the SOUND OF MUSIC as a child. Is anyone following this to answer questions?

  • if you have any questions...ask away
