Hi! I would actually like to warn you about the white fillings. Your dentist forgot to tell you that they doesn't last long, and are more likely to fail or get new cavities next to them.
That means you need to go back more often to drill again.
For back teeth you should really, really stick with the silver fillings if you want less trouble in the long run, and to keep your teeth as long as possible.
@luktende Not true. I've had many white fillings in back teeth and they've lasted ten years. Some silver fillings have cracked the tooth and now need to be crowned. I think it depends on the size of the cavity and also on how well the dentist cares about his or her work. The silver filling was done by a jerk who didn't even put the xrays up on the bit lighted board but looked at them cursorily like playing cards. But the white was done by someone who took time and cared. My two cents. :-)
Do you have a bottom wire retainer?
