It's sort of like the opposite of what it's like in our world. That seems to be the point of this song anyway: that no matter what she's like, the guy will always accept her.

@BusBuddy96 The videos shows that they live in a world where clowns are what is normal to them. In here, Ingrid is a 'freak' and everyone else treats her like that. Also, the song also talks about her giving him all that she could and the guy foresees her 'weirdness' and doesn't care anymore on how absurd they think that it's crazy to be with her; he just takes her "The Way She Is".

It's probably the greatest music video of all time. :)
