  • and I let you drive.......

  • LOL why live in the east coast when tahoe is just like this. I love it up there.

  • Not that you can tell, because of the snow, but parts of that drive are separated from a couple thousand foot fall by that guardrail.

  • I'm glad to see you made it!

  • Yeah, I get a little scared when my dad drives past that area of Highway 50. And yeah, I don't know how much that guardrail that is iced/snowed over would help prevent people from the thousand foot fall...

  • I don't blame you for being a bit scared. An icy road and a thousand foot fall are not a good mix; but at that speed, I seriously doubt that a car could get through those guardrails. You're pretty safe. - I used to drive that road twice a day all throuth ther winter. I've never seen that guardrail have serious damege. - It's ok.

  • I agree, it's pretty safe, considering the cars (and some of the trucks) are going at around 3 meters per second. You're just more used to the road, since you used to drive there very often. My dad has driven there in the summer and winter for many years, and he thinks it's best when it's all foggy like that, because it hides the thousand foot fall. What do you think of this pass?

  • Yeah, all the guard rails are iced/snowed over. I'm a skier, but I want to learn snowboarding one of these days...
