But alternative pop will never get as popular in the mainstream as rap and rock. If we want fully animated vids again there's just thing u can do: buy their CD's I have bought them all and up till now i still don't regret doing that. @100kgLuft Well, EMI went bankrupt. They didn't have the funds to back a band that wasn't going to bring in huge profits like Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber would. To be frank, Gorillaz is more of a cult band that a few die-hard fans enjoy. EMI sold out to Sony out of necessity in November 2011 and I think Gorillaz are now owned by Warner Brothers. That could be good or bad, we'll just have to see.

@FolkPunkerz la tecnologia hoy en dia esta tan avanzada que el costo de producir animaciones se ha reducido enormemente comparada con años pasados, además si a esas vamos, muchas de las grandes caricaturas de principios de siglo tenian un presupuesto bajisimo, tenian que reciclar los acetatos en los cuales dibujaban para poder continuar, y no habia la difusion mundial que existe ahora, sin embargo tenemos a betty boop, a mickey mouse y tantas otras caricaturas que sobrepasaron expectativas

@Recedebo Aún así debe ser un costo enorme, y lo que priorinzan empresas practicamente en la bancarrota (deberías leer un poco sobre EMI y su estado financiero) son los bajos costos y las ganancias altas. Además, ya no confían demasiado en Gorillaz, con 2 fallas tan épicas este año en los charts como las que tuvieron los singles Stylo y OMH. Si es que queríamos 2 videos más caricaturescos este y el año pasado se requierían de aunque sea 2 exitos (extrategia de Gorillaz de siempre) pero ni ahí.
