  • Is the jazz tremulant single-stroke or reiterating? Those pallet valves seem to be moving awfully slow, resulting in a rather sour-sounding slow detuning and retuning rather than the fast warble I would expect. Is this correct?

  • the pallets move very fast when operating and do operate correctly, listen to the music and you will hear the correct tremolo. They operate fast and also at certain points just waft back slowly like in the shot. I used the shot of them moving slow as at full speed (and in the low lighting) the basic camera I used just caught a total blur! regards, Adam

  • Thanks for clearing this up!

  • cool thanks, i love the jazz flutes

  • At 1:36 what do the moving bits on the back of the pipes do?

  • Those are the tremulants for the jazz flutes. An essential part in making jazz flutes sound the way they do.

  • Nice video, anyone got any information on the song?

  • The melody of the song sounds a bit like the one of the waltz "Indifference" in my opinion...

  • Are you sure? Sounds more like a tango to me. Thanks anyway!

  • Hi!

I didn't say that the song in the video is a waltz! I also think it's a tango but the MELODY sounds similar to "Difference" as I said.

  • Oh, Ok. Thanks for clearing that up!

  • It's the 50s hit "Kiss of Fire" which is based on the old 1910s maxixe "El Chocolo"

  • Thanks!
