  • its impressive that he lifted that much weight but that is not a clean...but like i said, it is a lot of weight which I guess counts for something.

  • that looked like a dead lift, shrug then another shrug then a pull ahah

  • this is impressive but that is by far the ugliest form i've ever seen.

  • he just hang cleaned more than 4 plates....

  • hahaha thats a clean?

  • WTF the lift was already pretty nasty but the clean out of nowhere was outfucking standing !

  • so this means he broke vernon's record? insane

  • I think its so funny when people come on here saying "he does steroids." If you actually knew the NCAA rules you would see that these guys go through strict testing. Coming from a D-1 school where we had the greatest strength and conditioning coach out there I saw great results in strength and explosiveness. So unless you have experienced that you shouldn't talk.

  • @Adamspdt Though he's probably not on steroids, the NCAA does random testing most of the year.

  • Lol I thought he was just gonna dead it. Impressive at the very least :D

  • Nice lift man! I didn't think you had it when you barely picked it up but impressive lift

  • its still fing dangerous.... DONT TRY THIS AT HOME!

  • This is fucking stupid. your cheating. go watch California Strength. You'll see what real weightlifting is like.

  • 455 hang clean goddamn......

  • can anyone tell me why he bounces the weight before he cleans? not trying to criticize i'm just wondering why. does it help get the weight up??

  • @LaderaAirsoft In my experience, bouncing kind of helps to get some momentum going for the final thrust up. In a way it's like priming your hips for the explosion. I used to think it was a waste of energy until I tried it and got 300lbs.

  • You are endangering the athletes that you have "clean" like this, as well as every young athlete watching this who may go on to copy. This is not trash talking - this is my professional opinion. This also gives strength coaches bad names - no wonder we don't have anyones respect.

  • pretty cool, looked like he had trouble just deadlifiting it

  • Not to hate but He has horrible technique.... i mean he lifts more than me but he still has a horrible technique.

  • @Mrmethemaster1 because that isnt the weight he normally does.. probably maxing out

  • that was a horendous deadlift

  • i wouldnt worry about the strong man tech.these kids joints and organs are going to be shot from all the steroid and hgh use.

  • @027ravman59 You're ignorant you skinny punk

  • @morselax012 ignorant.your all on the juice you fucking weak skinny dweeb.ill rip your fucking skinny arms off.you can tell the whole team in that gym is using.why..because im twice as big and strong than all of you.

guy montefiore shaffer .look me up you typical bulshit american.lying yankie up your own ass doodle.you come to my country little boy and we would show you how a real man trains and fights.thats why the world hates you faggots.because cock suckers like you bulshit.be honest cunt

  • Props where they're due, that is impressive. I get nervous watching that though. You can tear biceps hitching with a lot of weight. This vid makes my knees cry at night.

  • PHil is a big ass dude

  • lol whatever lift that was, it was fucking impressive

  • i want 2 be strong like him one day. i'm 38.

  • A shit load of weight for sure... but do it without bouncing it first... better yet do it from the floor. Then I'll be impressed.

  • "There's something wrong with him."

  • Even the dead lift was ugly, and the "clean" was nothing more than using bar flexion to create a bounce and catching it. This is awful.

  • practice makes perfect throw that damn weight around and youll throw that damn player you going against around ha

  • strong dude but hes definitely not concerned with staying healthy past his prime, ill give him the strength, even a retarted hang clean with 455 is pretty damn good, i cant argue that but that being said theres no way in hell hes gonna be walking when hes 50

  • Sans all the arguments, that's alot of fuckin weight.

  • That was fucking insane, at first he was struggling and pulls that shit out of nowhere.

I don't even know if this should be considered a hang clean or a power clean, it's still fucking impressive.

  • What you just witnessed was an athlete being "motivated" by his buddies shouting encouragement. Dude is bull strong, and exactly the kind of guy I want watching my back if things in the tavern get a little rowdy. Great video!!

  • @Dayga what kind of weird motherfucker says "tavern"? Nowadays its a bar.

  • @QAZAZZA You're right. I was trying to sound sophisticated, but failed miserably!!

  • I cant say whether or not that is bad form... because I dont know what lift he was even trying to do. Strong guy though.

  • What no press? Pussy!

  • errr wtf? bunch of fucking cowboy retards

  • wtf? it looked like he struggled just to deadlift it and then all of a sudden BOOM! that was crazy

  • this guys on the cowboys now, impressive feat despite that he went undrafted

  • That was pretty terrible form 0.o

  • One day I want to be where he is at. Hc 305, 18 years old

  • This guy is hang power cleaning more than most of you nerds can even fucking deadlift. Get a fucking life and pay respect where respect is due, you weak pieces of shit.

  • @iamaheron Your comment made me LOL!

  • isnt this just a hang clean? not a regular clean?

  • Great job!

Just wondering, how much does he deadlift and squat?

  • pretty sick!

  • how do you clean so much with such bad form?

    ahaha wtf

  • does that even count as a clean???

  • psh weak. i can curl this ez

  • ugly form....unbelievably strong man

  • Whomever taught him how to clean needs to be stoned to death.

That has to be the worst form i have ever seen.

  • @pieman12345678900 You do realize that there was nothing unsafe about it. He used more of a strong man technique and that allows for hitching, Sorry hes doing more then 85 pounds, I'm sure you're a personal trainer at a curves or some shit and that makes you pro.

  • @TockCease NOTHING UNSAFE ABOUT IT! lets see...his attempt to "deadlift" the bar to his waist was a L-4, L-5, S-1 herniation waiting to happen, the extremely wide split did WONDERS for his patellar tracking and the resulting sheer force on his meniscus was absolutely AWESOME! not to mention im sure the flexor muscles of his wrists LOVED sloppily receiving that load in hyperextension instead of his upper trunk!! you don't know shit about biomechanics kid!

  • @TockCease and what you say is more of a "strongman style clean" would get him laughed out of the presence of any serious strongman or olympic weightlifter. its called an axle clean and it looks nothing like that! a normal olympic clean is from the floor to the shoulders IN ONE MOTION. this video is a pathetic and so are you. dont even bother responding if you cant argue the BIOMECHANICS of why you think this is safe or an effective technique.

  • @TockCease NOTHING UNSAFE ABOUT IT!? either 25 retards watched this video or you made 25 youtube accounts and liked your own comment haha. him cleaning 455 pounds is nothing short of spectacular, especially with the form that he did it in. BUT, it was still extremely dangerous. a proper clean would generate the power from the hips and glutes, this guy used mostly upper body. his knees flying out THAT much wider than shoulder width.. one way ticket to snap city.

  • @pieman12345678900 Who gives a flying fuck, really? He's training for Football, not the Olympics.

  • @motoguy05 he would get more out of the lift from the football standpoint if he did the lift with good form

  • @RFlinch53 I see where you're coming from here, but its really hard to keep good form with that much weight. But, good form or not, you're still a strong ass man if you can clean 455.

  • @motoguy05 So you don't care about blowing out your knees ?

  • PAUL ANDERSON

  • This is not a clean

  • @RFlinch53 how?

  • @LiamDuvallTV a clean is one, fluid, explosive movenment. There is no pause between when the weight is at the waist and when it is in the racked posistion. While what is being performed in the video does take a great deal of strength, it is more of a deadlift followed by a sloppy hang power clean.

  • @BiiGBucK1 as for turkish people check those two names it ll be enough for u NAIM SULEYMANOGLU and HALIL MUTLU

  • @BiiGBucK1 name two, u can be racist as much as u want but if u don t fully understand what people r on about don t make stupit comments as uve made cos it makes u look more idiot, if u still didn t understand what the OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING is check those names, DAVID RIGERT, ANTHOLY PISARENKO, and this

  • Looks like what he does is shrug up and down to oscillate the bar and get some whip going before he attempts to clean it. Creative, but he'd probably get a lot more out of the exercise just doing a proper power clean.

  • He's a FOOTBALL player, not some olympic lifter or strongman. Just a kid beasting up in college. Form or not, he still got the weight up and now holds the title for the record. BEAST!

  • fuck got some speed on that bar with a shitload of weight, haters gona hate about form but still they cant lift shit since they sit on utube. but serious bikes going on in that gym all those cunts were on chems

  • The strength coach should be shot, if there is one.

  • @davidomarine71 you on crack or something

  • @davidomarine71 Boy you are a dumb shit. I'm betting you're 165 and have read every manual on lifting. Let me give you a bit of advice......go and strength train 'poperly' for a year, then come back and watch again.

  • Comment removed

  • @davidomarine71 Agree 100% percent

  • all back, should of gone with the knees

  • It dont matter if its wrong, as long as he did it they can put it on their rep sheet.

  • Hell with the form, that's still impressive.

  • Wow that was terrible. I don't know what that was, but it's not a clean. There was zero triple extension which is the whole reason you do cleans for sports training.

  • @rtw2k fuck off they know wat there doin

  • @terrapin621

    No.

  • i really fucking hate the behavier of american people after the they r acting like they save the world, look at the polish or russian even iranian athlets those r thye strongest people of the world n they r so cool they dont show off like americans..

  • @teed1 its just our tradition, and ways when it comes to weightlifting.

dont be an asshole about it.

  • @powerlift777 dont teach me the fucking weightlifting son im russain i know this business much better than u., when u lift something ur all thinking no1 can lift it other than americans, just watch the russian , iranian ,turkish and polish weightlifter s videos then u ll know what the real deal is...

  • @teed1 no, alot of us dont think that.

me personally, and everyone else i know, help other people, and are inspired by russian, iranian, polish, etc. weightlifters.

its just our motivation to act like we do. its better then most americans sitting around and eating big macs all day, right?

  • @powerlift777 yes u totally right in ur last sentence i entirely agree

  • @teed1 thats also where all the great pharm grade roids come from ;)

  • @ChitownMuscle if ur talking about steroid check ur body builders first

  • @rtw2k yea but the point is....he got the weight on his shoulders from the ground 455 pounds of weight. Hes not bodybuilding hes training for real life movements you think football players care about their form when they powerdrive a player to the floor... NO! IF THEY DID IT THEY DID IT RIGHT!

  • @larrymonster304 no but football players care when they snap their spine when they use form like this

  • how is it that one can manage to more then likely clean more then he deadlifts?

  • horrible form but i honestly didn't think he could clean that @_O

  • 69 people hit dislike on this and I guarantee at least 68 of them can't clean that. This guy is a beast.

  • try it without bouncing and repost it.

  • Well it does say cleaning, not specifically power clean

  • @rtw2k say wat u want but thats alot of fuckn waight to clean...

  • I'm now ashamed to be from Maryland. Thank you.

  • @njstrongman1 good

  • Cmon Phil you janky bastard!!!! Woooooo!! WOOOOOO!!!!

  • who cares how his form is, hes a Div 1 A football player, most kids commenting on this are wack athletes

  • it's more like dead lift + hang clean.

  • i would accept it if it was done with good form!

  • Comment removed

  • spotters???? ha

  • The fact that his "form" sucks makes it all the more impressive. This dude is a fucking beast!!

  • LIGHTWORK!!

  • Comment removed

  • @rtw2k when your doing a lot of weight form goes out right the window. i would like to see some of yall do that much weight with so called perfect form and that is called a power clean and i dont see anything wrong with his form there is so many ways people prefer doing a powerclean if you play football you would know what im talking about ive been doing powercleans so many ways since highschool and have a perfect body injury free.

  • Comment removed

  • @rtw2k Bad, bad, bad form, I agree. He's strong, but he's more worried about looking good to his friends than getting a good workout in.

  • @lmcoog20011 How the fuck can you say form goes out the window with heavy weights? There's this thing I like to watch every 4 years, it's called the Olympics and they have this event, weightlifting, and they do what this guy did at 175lbs. bodyweight. With damn near PERFECT form, and they throw it overhead too. Although you don't need perfect form, you do need to avoid injury, which he's not doing. Just because he didn't get injured, doesn't make it any less stupid.

  • @KingHenryXI first off its not that serious for you to curse at me. yeah whats the key word you said olympics right thats their profession lifting weights perfectly. this guys a football player and on my life his form is not that bad to cause a injury. and rtwk thats considered power cleaning yall just like nit picking everything because yall cant lift alot of weights. and power cleaning is a key lift for FOOTBALL if you played you would know thats what hes attempting, not a hang clean, boy.

  • @lmcoog20011 You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

  • that guy in the grey cut off is swole

  • i love how everyone is criticizing him but yet none of them have a video of them doin anything. its funny cus everyone on youtube can lift alot weight but only a few actually post a video of them doing it. if you dont have a video of you doing it then shut up

  • how much kg was that? by the way, watch your back cause you might get yoursel an injury lifting weights like that ,but yeah you are strong as hell.

  • bad form or not that shit was fucking beefy

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @rtw2k you go do that with perfect form

  • @aarnsafag he didnt say he can do it he said the guy has bad form. Obviously the guy is probably stronger than anyone making these comments and nobody is saying the guy isnt strong. He is saying he has bad form, which is true. It would be more beneficial for him to use good form.

  • terrible form...

  • GORRILA JUICE HEADS!

  • Impressive strength but absolutely horrible technique, an invitation to injury. Do the strength coaches at these colleges not look at what atrocities their athletes are performing in the weight room?

  • how the fuck did he do this so easily? what the fuck

  • DAMN!!!!!!!

  • @BROWNIEBOI22 yes. Go on Joe DeFranco's website; you can find his opinion on olympic lifts done with terrible form.

  • @ksiegowyaz whats the url?

  • @BROWNIEBOI22 check you messages.

  • Nice lift bud

  • Comment removed

  • Brownieboy. As long as u get the explosion in he clean, ur doing fine. His leg width is good

  • @superjeff299

How can you say it's garbage? It's not perfect form, but I doubt you personally could do half of this.

  • Notice how the knees cave inward during the deadlift?

  • wow he can almost do the spilts

  • @Ludichris8531

That's fine until he tears an adductor from catching with sumo stance or sprains an elbow.

  • if you think this is impressive, you obviously know nothing about lifting and getting stronger.

  • Respect voor his kilo's,but come on this is not à clean and also not a hang clean!! People who are saying it is,are dumb and ignorant!!

  • Why the dislikes?

  • @PatKellerProductions

Because it's a stupid lift. Straps + bouncing the bar(WTF?) + shitty deadlift + all around shit form. It's dangerous and looks retarded. Clearly he's strong as fuck but there's much better ways to show it.

  • @decafchicken straps are for added wrist strength. bouncing the bar is getting a feel for the weight. not dangerous, decent form. Handled the weight without much problem. Your argument is invalid.

  • @decafchicken

right there with you old strength coach clueless to allow this!

  • @PatKellerProductions probably cuz it wasnt a "clean" power clean....

  • @SoKomplete7 it's a max...what did you expect

  • He did picked it up so props to him. I was suprised that he was able to clean the weight when it was at a dead stop hanging at his hips.

  • I agree with most of the other comments. Technique is one of the benefactors of improving but with football conditioning, you're not going to have perfect form very often. Reps can be a little staggered, awkard, and even downright cheated sometimes, but even those kinds of reps can improve one's strength and condition.

  • @Ludichris8531 Agree. This isn't power lifting. This is football conditioning. However, most trainers do stress technique and form. I was trained under 3 different trainers and they all stressed technique more than anything.

  • I sure hope no one tries to replicate this technique in their own training.

  • MeatHeads! ;-)

  • damn yo...i seen the deadlift i was like he struggling i can deadlift more then that....... then the mother fucker flips it up outta nowhere and cleans it lol........filthy....u fuckin tank

  • @TheGreenLantern01 It's hard to hold something that in your hand, easy way to do it is to buy wrist strapps. It reliefs some of the stress on your hand

  • i can barely do half of that lol

  • juice monkeys 4 life!

  • @Ludichris8531

it is a big deal because of injuries

  • Looked awkward but still pretty dam nasty

  • I think he was trying to do this (copy and paste to youtube.com):

    watch?v=0qd592B-Rf4

  • Comment removed

  • You people talk too much. Its really as simple as picking heavy shit off the ground. Whats so hard about it? Most people here couldn't even make this weight budge.

  • Wow. Didnt think he was gonna get that since the pull was slow off the ground. Not bad

  • first of all any fucking idiot that starts off with the bar at his knees and then flips it up na thats dumb you will get tired by holding it you start out with a quick snap and pop under it then u let it drop(not letting go) and then snap it back up get your facts straight and shut the fuck up
