@tsrnikrug see well then that's cool we don't even need to do the youtube-let's-not-fight-and-re­spect-each-other argument because we both take it as a given (excellent). i think zimmer's pirates theme sounds better in some ways as a primitive metal track than those VERY synthetic keyboard sounds (like they couldn't afford an orchestra) in the movie. i DO like his music in The Last Samurai though. Simple? Yes. Good? Truly. Batman though - where's the theme? the motif? the riff? the hook? Lacking.

I for one find the Godfather movies boring and overrated, but I won't change people's minds. It all comes down to opinion.

And yeah, the first Tim Burton one I like, and he definitely deserves some credit for making Batman darker, and in turn probably making people take superhero movies more seriously. Returns, however, was not a Batman movie. It was a Tim Burton movie with a man that dresses like a bat. However, I still do enjoy it. The first time I saw Begins, it was a little wierd seeing some of the differences, but I immediately beganto prefer it. Cheers!
