Thank you for posting, the term film Goddess came about in the 50's, it must have started with Loren, I was read in a interview with her, she in the1960's refered to Raquel Welch as the new Goddess, film today is poorer without the Goddess's, they have been replaced by tatooed, implants, puffed up lips that only talent is being naked, and acting out gory violence, I prefer the days of the Goddess and true beauty. We are cheated by films today.

She was one of my icons along with Bardot. Brigitte has devoted herself to other causes, particularly animal welfare whilst Sophia has devoted herself, well, to herself! She is stunningly beautiful, so different from the usual beauty, but the cosmetic surgery is going too far, and yes, folks she's had the cut!!! Basilnelson: Just saw her on 81st Academy Awards show (2/22/09) @ age 75 - looking more like a 45 yr-old! She *has* to be the ONLY woman who looks more beautiful the older she gets!

But it wasnt till I later saw films like Woman of the River ,or Gold of Naples , that I realised how good her acting talents were ,especially in some of her early roles . Sadly she was then somewhat manipulated into rather wooden roles by hollywood, who played on her beauty ( and totally beautiful she was) rather than her acting talents .
