Example: When channel 10 starts its segment they say something like "the Wabash Valleys most watched news." I just laugh....
Well CH 10 is the most watch news in TH at 12:OO PM because fox and wtwo do not broatcast news at this time. Also it should be most watch in TH rather than Washbash Valley becauses it includes Illinois stations.

I live in the Champaign-Decatur-Springfield, Illinois market, and TV stations here constantly run promos bragging about how their weather department is the best in the market.
Personally, if I were operating a TV station, I would replace those "weather department propaganda" promos with paid advertisements, which would give me more money to invest in new technology for the weather department.
its competition buddy. Now channel 20 in springfield has 5 live Doppler radars connected to there weather station. So wandtv only has only 4 wand17 shouldn't of said they are the only station that has 4 when wcis abc now has 5 lol. They use multiple radars from different cities and states connected to there hub in there network in the building.
WTHI is much more ascetically pleasing. Their colors are simple and clean. All of WTWO graphics look horrible. I also think WTHI has better picture quality.
All the "news" is propaganda and double speak. They make you wait 10 minutes into it to give you the weather. Both stations constantly broadcast content with no substance.
I would rather get my news from alternative sources and my weather with the click of my mouse, any time I choose.
As far as I'm concerned both stations lose this war.

LOL! WTHI DOES have the most reliable weather coverage. WTWO doesn't broadcast in Stereo, and they can't even stay on the air after a storm. LOL! Oh yea, and let's not forget WTHI's response... The Storm team 10 fury radar. Guess there's no "dead zone" now, WTWO, huh? LOL!
I like how it says we'll be left in the dark for hours if we watch WTHI for the weather, when during the winter storm this year WTWO was the only station that wasn't coming in.

Also: So what if the doppler's in the middle of town? Unless there's some wierdass mini-hurricane that only covers 1/4 of a mile, what would they possibly be missing?

Oh...my...God...I am SO glad I moved from that rediculous town. Seriously, next thing you know Union and Regional Hospitals will be duking it out. Does Terre Haute really need two stations anyway? Last time I checked, the population was shrinking because the children of the 80's and 90's have enough sense to GET OUT OF THERE!!!!

The fact is BOTH stations own the SAME brand and type 200 watt low powered doppler radar. Both also now have implemented DopFURY. Its a tie.

channel 2 evening news usually show a half-hour showing what a person can buy from one of Terre Haute's business. Is that really news?
I guess most people switch to another station at this point. There are enough info commericals already, we do not need it in the news.
