RANT? I love Chuck, all of his novels (just started Snuff) But Rant Fuckin sucked. I keeped going back to the cover to be sure it was CHUCK Palahniuk. I began to think maybe it was a true story; because maybe it would be interesting if it was true. But then with the future travel the erasing a begining to create no end. What the fuck? I read 'Snuff' in one day and as a fan of everything I've read by Chuck, I'll say it wasn't my favorite, but definatly a great book I enjoyed very much.

I am a huge fan of his books- there was not one I did not like...until I read Snuff. I just feel that he was trying to hard for that shock value and rawness that is unique to him. I think he needs some time off to produce another Invisible Monsters or Diary or Rant because if he writes another book like Snuff, a lot of his fans aren't going to continue to read his novels after that.

All of these publicity endeavors for Palahniuk on Youtube are inferior to Gorgeous Tiny Chicken Machine Show's Episode 4, which can also be found on Youtube. That's my bias, because Palahniuk cannot teach me any more than he already has. So many other writers have so much more to offer than this vicious clown; they actually bothered to learn. Palahniuk doesn't need me and I didn't need to read all his books to date. This is where I give up on that filthy, vengeful, spoiled bastard.

I really believe the latter. Part of what fuels his nastiness, however, is that he knows he's lost it even better than fans of his who notice it as well. Being forced to know such unpleasant things was part of the deal he accepted in becoming filthy famous. the boxcar children books are a series, not a saga, and although i agree that they are classics, i also recognise that they are classics that are written for and directed towards young children. maybe if you stopped smoking weed and started doing more interesting drugs you would realize how many brain cells you've killed and try to resuscitate them with some books that are actually written at the level of a twenty-two year old instead of a nine year old.

I bought Snuff the day it came out, went straight home, and read it all in one sitting! All I have to say is Snuff goes right on the list of works that prove Palahniuk is a twisted genius!

I was surprised however at the amount of sex content in the book...it was described as a "full-frontal triple X novel" but there were no more graphic sex scenes in the book than any of his other works...not that I'm complaining or anything, it's just an observation

anyway, Palahniuk is the man!
