well this is a nostalgia moment for me because that was 10 years ago..i mean WOW!!! because i first heard beth orton's stolen car on the radio in early 1999 when i was 7 1/2 years old and got the central reservation CD on my 8th birthday in the mid july summer of that same year and i enjoy listening to it...it's been years since that awesome last year of the 90's and i miss it so much because that was 10 years ago and i'm 18 now and in college and i'm an adult now..i wish i was a kid again :(

First time I heard her music, I was driving a semi thru the desert, the song was "Thinkin about Tomorrow" and it was just as the sun was coming up. Waif "ish" voice and all... it was fantastic and I was hooked from then on.

I've seen her twice, the second time she was on tour and I bought tickets properly and went, the first time she performed at a tiny festival when I was in yorkshire once... everyone in the room that first time just stopped to listen, it was totally silent, just magical. I love her so much. she's a genius, she's such an amazing songwriter with an awesome voice... flawless. And WOO Norfolk!!

First time i heard about her was in the book '1001 albums you must hear before you die', with the album Central Reservation. Since then, i'm hypnotized with the voice of this singer! @.@

Wonder if there's some live concert of her..but i can't find anywhere.

Yah, I am completely in love with her, too. She probably doesn't realize how attractive and charismatic she is, which of course makes her seem even more attractive and charismatic. One of the most beautiful voices in pop, no doubt about it. I hope she continues to thrive.
