they dont need such for an animation film as well always only watch from the persepctive given by the illustrationist, the only time they use a soft-ware progam for a cartoon is when the cartoon is in 3D like that new star wars or the old "Toy story" since this is not 3D they will just use pictures but it was a fair guess :)

its the same priciple its still just picture for picture, what you are thinking of with a skeleton is video game for pc or ps3/wii/Xbox, but I can see why you would think so, its almost the same except the skeleton is made to be able to watch the charactor from all direcetions while in-game [Front//behind//side//above//u­der]

I see, well thats simple they simply make alot of pictues, each picture make the charactor(s) move an inch, when you then have 100 or 1000 pictures you can really see how it seams that, the charactor is moving even though all we are seeing is a flapping of very many pictues, this is why you will also meet the tearm in comuter language known as frames per second, because 1frame = pic so if we see 30 frames per sec it would seam fair for an ordinary cartoon.

a scanner? you scan in the picture drawn by hand, you then get the image up on your computer screen its like taking a digital picture just much better :)

but when you have scanned it in and stuff what can i need for softwares to make it move and stuff like that ? And if he is like making a quick movement must i draw every single second of the movements on alot of paper or can the computer fix that?

you can manipulate a picture to make a quick action if you do not wish to make a series picture just for that, there are quite a few programs you can use I would suggest sony vegas 8.0 pro or higher version, it can pretty much help you out with any video/animation [ to manipulate a quick action, you can graphicly cut out ex. ichigo and move him around on a back ground, the finished product is what you see here at

hmm, well I pretty much only use Sony vegas, however I am sure there are other programs. There are even small studios where you can hand in a sketch of a animation film witch they can help you make perfect (for a price)

You could try to use addobe photo studio if you wanna get a very clear picture.
